Thanks, yeah didn't check with a gauge but they were said to been pre gapped at 0.8m. Bosh double iridium plugs.

This aswell as engine man Gap was too big I'd think, had just tried the coil pack today after the plugs a couple days ago.

Hi, my 1.2 TSI 2014 rapid has developed a fault recently the lights listed come on about 10 seconds after start up and is misfiring. I have replaced the plugs and coil pack yet still no luck. Could anyone enlighten me on this issue. Many thanks CODE: PO0302 cylinder 2 misfire

Hi all, my driver side door lock barrel has been getting stiffer to unlock until a few weeks ago when I'm guessing it completely snapped and the key would just spin when in the barrel, I've taken the barrel out and can't seem to find the exact replacement that'd match the keys which I'd prefer rather than having 2 different sets of keys. Anyone know what barrel this key would take.Thanks alot.

Hi, ive been working on fixing up my skoda fabia mk1 1.4 16v BKY. Took it for its MOT today and it only just passed emissions I was told and is running rich with too much fuel going into the engine. Anyone know what the fault for this could be? Thanks!

Yeah getting 10.3v when car is off but about 14.0v when it's running, does that sound right for a faulty battery? Thanks

Yeah, battery light comes on. Will try tomorrow with another battery. Hope it's that simple, the battery dosent seem to hold charge even after being on charge.

Hi, i have a 1.4 16v 2005 fabia sport BKY engine. Does start one time then if you have the car off and put the radio on or even just leave it for a while it wont start again it usually cranks but still sometimes doesn't even crank then wait a few minuets more and itll start up straight away. I have had a look at the fuses and they seem to be fine (not sure what to be looking for). Thanks!

Thanks, yeah it's a BKY engine 75hp, so the lambda sensors will still work as they should with only one cat? Thanks

Can find this on eBay but dosent look to have the first catalytic converter.

Hi all, I've had this fabia for a while now hoping to make it my first car once I pass my test. Got it for fairly cheap and trying to fix it up for the MOT. I can't seem to find the same type of catalytic converter or converters as it looks like there's two. One after the exhaust manifold and the other further back in the mid section of the exhaust. The current one is past it with the honeycomb inside being loose. Any help to find the correct one would be great, thanks all! Picture of the mid section:

Yeah it is a BKY. Got a pre cat just after the manifold. Its the main Cat after the flexible section that's the problem, looks like someone had been welding it to pass a emissions test. Is the pre cat needed since it has a lambda sensor on as well?

You know your stuff 😄, Its a sport version. Has weird window switches that have been put in the centre console of the car under the radio. I presume this isn't standard as I haven't seen it on any photos. What's the reliability like on these engines?

Hi all, my first post, just got a fabia 1.4 MPI as a project to hopefully turn into my first car. I have been looking for a new catalytic converter as the old one has a leak. Does anyone know of any after market exhausts or just catalytic converters that will fit the car? I have seen that some VRS back boxes fit, But only the back boxes if I'm correct. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
