  1. Just came back on this Forum only to say thank you to the chap who advised the £40 Hernido portable CD player with Radio Transmitter. I cant remember his "handle" but it works perfectly, so thank you, it took along time to get the answer to the problem so if I can help others to easily solve the problem then good. I will not be reading any of the comments that were left after my last visit to the Forum, and signing off now. It appears a lot of people out there have time on their hands,I dont so adios.
  2. Apology accepted, we move on.
  3. This looks like it may be the answer, thank you. (unlike some of the other insulting numptys). Cheap enough to give it a try.
  4. No others, and good on you re transferring I could never find the time as still working full on !
  5. 2019 Karoq 1.6 Diesel, A type usb
  6. 2019 1.6 Diesel Karoq, A type usb.
  7. Just tried CD player with usb at car audio shop “didn’t work “ wouldn’t read !!!
  8. You obviously weren’t born in 1950 ( I was)
  9. Not sure what is meant with the BT thing
  10. Looks good, but I don’t have a 3.5 mm Jack socket in the Karoq, will it work simply with the USB cable ?
  11. Thanks for that
  12. Ok so NO CD player ( I like and want to play them). So can anyone out there recommend a plug and play (will the usb cable plug straight into the usb beside the cigarette lighter socket). A USB MULTI MEDIA MUSIC DISC PLAYER, that doesn’t cost a fortune? Maybe a choice! Thanks in advance. Willie.
  13. Re Austin 7,s mention of Ebay loom from Germany, and no disrespect for the tip, I would not pay £140 or so for what looks exactly like the one in my car that has given me grief !!! Come to think of it I would be really interested to see a proper (coloured) loom if such an animal is fitted to the Yeti,s. In the Film world we use HO7-RNF cable albeit mostly 1.5/2.5 mm multicore etc. very flexible and double insulated would be ideal for this kind of area (probably too costly !)
  14. I did !!! Don’t understand!!!
  15. Look at my latest photos
  16. Good point re lack of Oxidisation (Patina), as I recall the boot lock has been playing up for coupla months till now. Insulation was quite brittle.
  17. Mike ,well as a spark for 51 years in my opinion would say hardened and cracked, but one thick one (app 1.5 mm cable as you can see was severed). So guess is this may have been damaged on installation, the cable loom had that fibre type tape round it (doesn,t offer much protection). And the square plastic "grommet" prevents the bodywork from wearing on the cable. So just a guessing game.
  18. Just thought this photo if I can attach it might help someone (reason for 3rd brake light /rear wiper/door lock/number plate lights working erratically, mechanic said because all the loom cables are white ! this is an aftermarket loom, label on the loom said 2014, which is the year of the car ! Yeti 1.2 . Anyway fixed it myself ( at cost of new wiper motor due to my stupidity).
  19. Rear Tailgate,3rd brake light, number plate lights, wiper motor, and especially door lock !
  20. Hi any good pointers to a wiring diagram for the above vehicle, most of the ones Googled have in the region of 250 to 300 pages !!!
  21. Honest truth, I was stupid (and it cost me) !
  22. You must be looking at another members Brushes, mines are tiny. Will investigate more re shorting business, BTW thanks for the rigging/earth tip wish I had thought of that !
  23. I have ordered a new motor as the very small springs popped out and after an hour or so I gave up for now, (see my photo), thanks.
  24. Thanks for that if I can find the time will try. Other problems , third brake light not working. But more importantly Tailgate lock not working, took it to bits no visible faults, tested 2 pin switch alongside number plate lights and ok. Have a feeling this is all related (3 faults), bad Earth , possibly shorting where “concertina” type flexible conduit passes through chassis at top of tailgate bodywork!
  25. Not sure what you mean ! No maybe its an Auld Reekie fitting ! Seriously the 2014 Yeti rear wiper motor has only the 2 small brushes in the photo, no ide how they were put in in the first place, but now the are heading for the BIN.
