  1. Soooo, my replacement Cupra has exactly the same issues as the VRS i rejected. Going back to the dealership next week, we have already pre-warned them about rejecting. Refreshingly the dealership said they had seen issues with the formentor which they managed to sort.
  2. My last day as a skoda owner. First time i have ever owned one, and with the issues its been very underwhelming. Managed to source a Leon Cupra, same car in a different suit, hopefully fault free. For anyone thinking of rejecting thier cars, there are very few new cars across the major manufacturers available in stock.
  3. The car was leased, so we emailed vw financial services, who came back with the offer, no haggling. Vwfs rang yesterday to arrange for BCA car auctions to come and inspect the car. Some poor sidmis going to end up buying the car with all the faults
  4. Just accepted Skodas offer to reject the vehicle based on sat nav, AC issues. They dont know why the issues occur in random vehicles, and from the discussions we have had dont have a fix anytime soon
  5. VWFS called today and gave me 2 options. Accept a 10% reduction in the monthly rental until the issue is fixed, or hand the car back for a refund of all payments todate. Skoda dont have any idea what is causing the issues, or how to fix them. They wont offer a swap as the replacement car may have the same issues. Spoke to the dealership who can source a superb estate sel, but these are confirmed builds so cant change from standard sel specification. Looks like im hybrid shopping tomorrow!
  6. I've started return proceedings. Supplying deal hadn't heard of any issues with the new Octavia. I have a sat nav system that doesn't remember any settings, ac reseting to 22' , break assist suddenly deciding to kick in. For a car with a cost of £39k inc extras its very disappointing. Chose the Vrs iv over the 330e due to leadtimes, should have had more patient and waited!
  7. I have these issues, and have had the car into the dealers twice. Second time was for a software update, software is now 1803. This has made no difference. Tried Skoda customer services who advised "waiting for a factory update, we dont know what the issue is ", as the car is leased i have now contacted VW finance as they actually own the vehicle with the mantra that the issues are sorted in June or the car is replaced / returned. I wait with baited breath!!
  8. Just got my car back from its second visit to the dealership. Issues with not being able to save settings in infotainment system. Had the 1803 update, and in the dealers own words " it hasn't made a blind bit of difference ". Called Skoda customer services and now awaiting a call back. Its a company car, and the MD simply said they either fix it or we send it back
  9. had the car into the dealers, who didn't have a clue what to do. they have spoken with Skoda, who have had "a few cars with the same issue". There is a software update available, which they hope will rectify the problem, but they aren't sure. The dealers have no idea how long the update will take, Skoda have advised anywhere between 2-5 hrs. If this doesn't work Skoda wish to recall the car for testing!
  10. Recently received my Octavia VRS IV Estate, as a company car, having had 3 BMW 320d's previously. Overall really impressed with build quality, but having issues saving destinations in the sat nav, set up as primary user etc. Spoken to my local dealer, who has advised that i need to take the car in for a full factory re-set, my question being does anyone have experience of this, and will this solve the issue? Apologies in advance if this has already been covered on a 30 page thread!
