I've used a brand new battery and I did check the little contacts, a bit worn out on the positive gold plate but that's not corrosion and just scratched of, and it did not get wet as it stopped working after I was driving. I think it's something with the car rather than the key, because it started working again randomly. Hope it won't decide to shut of after I lock my car somewhere not close to home...

I was driving around and after stopping, my key fob just died, no buttons respond apart from the little red light blinking, replaced battery but didn't help at all. As my door lock is stuck I have no way of locking my car, what could've caused it to stop working??

I've grabbed a MAF sensor from a Sharan which were almost identical yet nothing really changed. Could it be possible that another culprit is the solenoid vacuum block? As it makes sort of a buzzing noise sometimes and just thought lack of power, hard brakes after the car sits for sometime, could point to a vacuum issue. Currently also waiting to get a diagnostic as I got an Emissions workshop error + check engine light

Someone please help as I need to buy the part to have my car ready for a trip

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the forum, I got an Octavia mk2 1.9 77kw and there seems to be an issue with the loss of power. I came to a conclusion that it's the mass air sensor because after disconnecting it and driving around nothing changed, drove same as plugged in. (futher about the loss of power: car seems weak usually and once I reach 120 km/h it just seems to go limp, like the gas pedal was barely working) But the issue is with buying a new one, I took it out, went to a parts store and they couldn't find a match by the part code, or one that looked like mine. I'm leaving some pictures below, of the one that I have and wanted to know how to tell which would be okay to buy as I won't be able to return it. ^ Sensor in my car^ And this is one of the types I found around part stores, would this "fit" as it looks different and might have/not have the exact same specifications? And another thing I wanted to ask what's this part? Some sort of gate in the bottom of the airbox, couldnt find it online and it seemed to not be working properly as it just flops around. And where does that air go as the hose that it leads to is full of dust and anything else that goes below the filter (which is probably not great)
