Speaker upgrade in Fabia 2021 mkIII
Mattn00b replied to CDP-511's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I actually bought that very same kit you linked in and installed it into my Mk3 Fabia. It was a straight swap and very easy to do. The sound quality difference is amazing, the bass is a lot better and its nowhere near as tinny. It does makes driving a lot more enjoyable, however, whether I'd say it's worth £300 is debatable- and while I haven't actually done all the things @Cocain has suggested, I did use sound deadening on the door panel. Even so the front passenger door card does rattle a little with certain bass which is very annoying and I couldn't ever stop it no matter how much more deadening I added, or where I added it- I never tried on the speaker itself though. Anyway that's besides the point, that's nothing to do with the speakers, as I was saying, It's much better quality sound but not sure it's worth the price tag. As I said though, maybe deadening the speaker itself will help that more. I also added an under-seat sub (https://caraudiocentre.co.uk/products/in-phase-usw300) which has also made a big difference to the bass. Any audiophile will also probably try Liam Neeson me for the method I used to install this too, as I've tapped it into the dashboard fuse box using an "Add-a-circuit splitter" as opposed to directly to the battery, due to it not actually drawing too much current- as well as (here's the kicker) splicing the audio input cables for the sub straight into the existing audio cables coming out the back of radio to the door speakers using T-tap connectors. Certainly not how it should be done but it works! Oh also velcroed the bottom of the sub to the carpet rather than screwing it in- and it never budges! -
Ended up 3D printing my own attachment to fit on the light base to easily undo and fasten up the bulb🤣 life saver!

Just had the exact same issue with my 2017 Fabia colour edition- took it to my local skoda retailer and mentioned what I thought the issue was, they got back and told me it was that, but when I brought up about it being a known issue and whether the price would be reimbursable at all they denied all knowledge. £600 later the work has all been done and I've now talked to someone from Skoda UK, who said my car isn't "due a recall" and also denied any such thing about this being a known issue- so I don't know what to do now. My car's only done 35k miles 😞

Hi there! Got a Skoda Fabia mk3 with what I think is a Bolero system, is there an update available? Whole system keeps restarting by itself mid-drive which is very annoying🤣 Part no.: 5Q0035842C Hardware: H41 Software: 0468 Media Codec: 4101.0.0.0 Thank you! P.s. sorry for the terrible picture quality!😆

That's exactly it, even after reading that thread AGFalco, after I had a go myself at trying to change the bulbs it would be so much easier just taking the whole headlight out just like rum said, so think I'll have a look tomorrow and see if a few screws can take out the headlight, hope I don't have to take the entire bumper off like I just watched someone else do on a YT vid of an older model😫😖🥴

Just bought a couple pairs of H7 Philips WhiteVision Ultra's to replace both dipped and main beam headlights to give them a whiter, cleaner look. Got as far as taking the headlight cap off and found some back lever looking thing in there that isn't mentioned anywhere in any owners manual I've seen. Before I start pulling it can someone please tell me what exactly it is? And also any tips before I go to changing the bulbs would be great, from what I've seen doesn't look like it'll be easy. Thanks😁 20220125_152814.mp4

When you turn the headlights on, the interior instrument panel is lit up with a green backlight (Air-con dials, Radio knobs ect.). At first I thought if I wanted to change that colour it would just be a case of swapping over all the green LED's for the colour I desire, but when I realised the Radio knobs are also lit I realised it may not be as easy as that. Is there an easy way of changing the colour (like for some miracle them being RGB LED's that can be set) or would I literally just have to strip down the entire dash and Radio to change each individual LED, (assuming each button/ dial has its own individual LED). If anyone knows anything I'd love to hear it😁 Thanks

Had the radio out of my 2018 Fabia mk3 and noticed there was a port in the back with nothing in it, anyone able to tell me what its for? Thanks, Matt
