  1. I was rocking a 6+ until recently as well but made the big leap to a 13 Pro when it was released. Wireless CarPlay has been flawless (touch wood) in the month I have had the car and I haven't noticed any issues with the directions getting stuck after a wrong turn. I went on a 500 mile journey this weekend and made a couple of wrong turns so I would have probably noticed... although there is no guarantee!
  2. I can't comment on the interior questions but I was very happy the other week to notice that Apple Maps in our 2022MY Superb was giving dashboard directions. This is with an iV SE L and Virtual Cockpit. I always used Waze beforehand but I was struggling to find a location, tried Apple maps and then realised I was getting the turn directions! There are a couple of quirks like the exit from a motorway being shown as a right turn instead of left, but otherwise it is all accurate.
  3. I’m an electronic engineer working on consumer products, we just got a quote in and lead times for a new product and even the simplest of components on that circuit board has a 106 week lead time. Some are better (a mere 32 weeks) but you can only build when you have everything. We can source them more quickly but a $3 part is rapidly approaching $100 due to supply and demand. It’s crazy. I suspect things might recover sooner than that, but it isn’t going to be “soon”. The supply chain is ruined.
  4. Our Superb Estate SE L iV arrived on our driveway on Friday. I think we must have got our order in before everything exploded too much but it was still a delay of a few months. Original delivery date was early September. No evidence of having been left out in a field anywhere!
  5. That has been a big factor I think, it is an SE L trim level iV (which anecdotally has been prioritised to reduce emissions figures for the VW group) and it was ordered as a car that had already been allocated a build slot without any options. It is 2 months behind schedule from when it should have been delivered according to its build slot. Anyone ordering right now is going to be waiting a while. I no longer work in the automotive electronics industry but where I am at the moment I'm still seeing lead times for components in the 96 week region. Procurement issues for the manufacturers (and suppliers) aren't going to be going away any time soon unfortunately.
  6. I've just had notification that our car is now with the dealership having its PDI, I should be getting it some time next week (exact date to be agreed). So ordered in the middle of July, delivery next week hopefully. 4 months isn't too bad considering everything else that is going on. I suspect the sales guy at the dealership will be glad to give me a car and see an end to me pestering for status updates.
  7. Thanks @robp1970- that's worth knowing. Although I admit that they lost me as a likely customer at the point where you said that you needed to pay for a courtesy car! Is that a normal thing? Vauxhall has always given me a free car as long as I have booked in with enough notice. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on the dealership in the Forest when you have been, it isn't that far over to Cinderford in the scheme of things.
  8. Yep - that was the comment I was thinking of. I had remembered Audi but convinced myself that I was wrong since this was a Skoda forum 😉 I'm just hoping that the boat doesn't take too long to get over here, I'll drive over to the Czech Republic and get it myself!
  9. I just got the call to say that our Superb SE L iV is built and is currently sat waiting for a boat. The estimate is 3-4 weeks... Let's just hope it isn't due to sail in to Felixstowe. It was build week 34 but has been sat "awaiting components" for a good couple of weeks. The guy at the dealership said that he doesn't have any facts but the rumour is that one of the main shortages they're seeing is with keys. Which ties up with something I read in another thread where they had only got the one key when they collected their car. The other keys were going to be backordered.
  10. I'll just continue to live the Skoda life vicariously through the forum! 😉 Build week 34 but now sat awaiting components.
  11. Ah, I won’t get too excited then. That sucks. Although I had heard that they prioritised hybrids slightly higher as it makes their fleet numbers look better, so I will keep a little bit of hope for ours being on this revised timeline! Every industry is facing massive problems at the moment, we’re redesigned a lot of our products around parts that we can acquire. It isn’t quite as easy in automotive when things need to be requalified.
  12. Ordered on the 19th July but it was for a factory spec car that already had a scheduled build week so it was a shorter queue (in theory) than a custom order.
  13. Our car was due to be delivered this month but I have been notified that Skoda are expecting it to be another 4-6 weeks. Admittedly they always said it would be near the end of the month so it isn't really too much of a delay from the promised date. Fingers crossed! It gives ChargedEV chance to get the charge point installed for us ready as well.
  14. Is this "Blade" dealership now Heritage Skoda? I had a very disappointing sales experience with them so I've ordered our new Superb from Marshalls near Oxford. I'm hoping that their service is better though as Oxford is a trek for any future serving! Does anyone have any experience with their service centre?
  15. I'll be keeping an eye on this topic as our iV estate is due to arrive next month (fingers crossed). We will want to put a boot liner in as well. Even if you don't hear back from anyone on this forum I would really appreciate it if you could update the thread if you buy one @CageyH and let us know how it fits. Thanks!
  16. Thanks, we are waiting for our new Superb iV and trips to France will be on the cards. I don't want to give the Gendarme any easy excuses to pull me over if I am driving along thinking that the lights are swapped and they haven't!
  17. Does the car have a notification anywhere to indicate that this switch over has occurred if it is automatic?
  18. @awahwah - Out of interest, how does that time frame align with what they were told when they ordered it originally in March? Was the estimate roughly accurate? A factory fresh order to my spec was quoted as 16 weeks but there was a standard spec model supposedly scheduled to hit the UK in September so I went for that one. Fingers crossed that it arrives this year!
  19. I've tried to get an update on our car a couple of times this week but apparently they are having issues with their vehicle status system and unable to track vehicles. It's a shame there isn't an online order status tracker!
  20. Ah, I'll try not to annoy them too much just yet then! ;-)
  21. How are you getting updates on your vehicle status? I placed an order on an "in-flight" vehicle last week with delivery estimated in September but I don't know when I should receive any updates on status or if there is a website I can check? Eagerly waiting an SE L iV!
