  1. Well, in mine, it makes quite a difference. Very welcoming trick.
  2. Well, it is OEM... I've seen it first on a DSG Passat of 2006... It is a button located on the floor, it clicks when you press the throttle to the max and a bit further, an extra 2cm or something. Back in the passat, you would get some more power from it. I am reading now in forums that for DSG cars, it kicks down to the right gear to accelarate faster (case of surpass or similar). I am also reading that it overrides the speed limiter (no idea, I've driven mine past 250km/h but i can't remember if i was pressing the boost button). Another one says it cuts down AC and other load to give you more immediate power... Others are saying that it does nothing for Sport/Normal modes but it does give you extra power when in Eco. Which is exactly my case. I keep it in individual (Chassis & Steering in Sport, Engine and Sound in Eco) and as i said in the previous post, i got the perfect balance of tamed power for normal driving and the beast unleashed when you floor it. I'm sure you should have it too. Try the ECO, floor it and report back :) Cheerio
  3. Well, so far so good. It does vibrate if you floor it on the 5th or 6th at low rpm, clutch can't handle max torque at low rpm. But you can floor it from 2500 to avoid that. Or, which seems a better solution so far, keep it in eco and power goes a bit lower. And the boost button becomes active so you have it when u want it. More like a 280ish hp with 470ish torque that becomes 330 and 560 when you floor it. When the clutch gives up, i guess will change to smth better, a manual Golf R 7 maybe?
  4. So, I think it's all done now. Stage 2 mapping APR air intake and filter Upgraded intercooler Downpipe with 200 cell cat H&R lowering springs Audi RS4 (2017) 8.5 / 19" wheels Maxton side skirts Custom box 1000W jbl sub Probably painting the ceiling black when i do some small scratches. And that should be it. After 4 years, most guys walking by it, stop for a better look. Quite happy with it. Power is a bit too much. You can't put the foot down at lower speeds and high gear. But, interesting enough, I can leave the engine in eco mode and becomes a little tamer (still going strong) and if i need the kick, i press the pedal to the metal, pressing the boost button which apparently becomes active now only in eco mode (normal and sport I guess are already boosted from the remap). It just drives amazing, doing B roads on 4th and 5th, cruising effortlessly at any RPM and becoming a beast if you press it hard. I guess, how a vRS Performance pack should be :)
  5. The originals were okish but not so sporty, which became more and more obvious lowering the car and adding side skirts. So found these used Audi Sline wheels and it seems they suit quite well. No need for spacers also...
  6. thanks mate, super helpful!
  7. You think? It can kill the clutch? So far I havent noticed anything in normal driving but it does vibrate a bit on 5th and 6th if you push it from low revs. Which clutch would you recommend?
  8. Yeah, the downpipe will be over 1,000 EUR, imagine if I don't like it... A bit torn on the wheels... definitely better than the originals (to me) but still too simple maybe? Not sure... Need to see them in black.
  9. Manual... Just the tune and APR air intake & filter. Next is downpipe; high flow catted. Hopefully no droning.
  10. I installed racechip when I bought it 3 years ago because there was no maps available. Racechip was quite ok at 305 PS (meassured) but the new map now is amazing!! Just WOW! 532 NM at 2,400 RPM... the wheels want to spin even at 4th gear if the asphalt is not good. I guess I need wider and better tires to cope with all that power and torque. For more details, I'm posting the graph, before and after. There's plenty of things in the car but I need to take some nicer pics... H&R springs, Maxton skirts, Golf R wheels (to be painted black) and next doing an audio update (got the customs sub but changing all speakers).
  11. That's how my custom box looks on the NX RS...
  12. Well, in theory you could take the signal from the rear door and choose an amp that can process normal sound to sub appropriate one. Or probably add a converter before the amp. Then you'd need to reach the battery for the amp but also the on/off switch (not sure where) so u make sure the amp turns off when the car turns off. I went to a specialist, didn't do it myself. Especially the custom box is quite difficult.
  13. Driving in B roads. This feels like quite an upgrade vs MK3.5. The cornering, the placement in the road and especially the electronically controlled diff that enables you to go out of the corner faster and lowers understeer by quite some margin... Cool
  14. Never done that, usually careful with how i load things in the trunk. But before i had the nets to secure loads... Now either need to order the nets or actually mount protection, you're right.
  15. And here's my final setup. 1000w JBL in custom enclosed box with the right amp. Kept the canton sub connected also, why not. No other changes to the oem speakers. Not a huge change in "size" of the bass but the punch is way stronger and it just fills in better.
  16. Cool, great stuff man. Enjoy I just left mine for the enclosure, on the left side of the trunk
  17. Btw, i just did the resonator delete... You can barely hear a difference if you stay at the back of the car, very very low grunt. Removing completely both end mufflers was very noisy. So looking for other (cheap) solutions. Probably getting 2nd hand end mufflers from other sports cars who replaced their exhaust completely. GTIs, golf Rs, etc
  18. Wow, so tell us a bit more of the specs then 😁
  19. Hey, changing the tweeters also?
  20. Yeah, and that's how it's done! 👏👏👏
  21. Yeah, maybe but i already have the sub and the amp so just need to build the box and the lines.
  22. Didn't measure but I'd guess another 15mm drop vs stock RS springs
  23. Here it is... On H&R springs and Eibach 12mm spacers. It's even more beautiful live than in pictures. Overall, quite a step up from MK3.5
  24. 19s here... I got 12mm front and back and i like it. The car is just too elegant for 15mm spacers that go flat vs the wheel arch (typical sport cart). And it's on H&R springs so the arch feels closer due to the lowering.
