Got a call Friday from the dealer telling me that the car arrived in UK earlier this week. And should be at the dealer Monday. So long as no issues with PDI then fingers crossed I can collect the weekend. Happy days. Been waiting since aug 21.

Sorry your post made me giggle. How can you not know what gear it's in with a manual ? You literally choose the gear yourself. In 20yrs of driving a manual I've never had to look down to see what gear I was in.

Finally received some positive news today. Been told my VRS is ST30 which suposedly means it has left the factory and on its way to exit port of Emden. Anyone know if that's legit and if so, rough time line for arrival to UK. Thanks . Ordered last Aug so I'm hoping sometime in October.

Been waiting since July 21. So overjoyed to receive an email from the dealer today only to find it was them inviting me to their latest VIP event where I can claim a unique discount on a brand new car available. I sent the email to my sales man and asked if I can use the discount code on my pending order. Also questioned how they can even offer discounts with orders pending over 1 year. I then asked if they have any VRS in their limited available stock. Clowns.

I'm currently waiting for a vrs and wondered if anyone has picked one up recently able to advise about the rear lights. Does the Octavia vrs come with dynamic rear indicators as standard? ( The sweeping light) The configurator is a little confusing. Originally when I ordered in July last year it seemed to do them only if you had the rear camera.. now the brochure implys it comes as standard? Thanks

Hi everyone. Long time lurker. Wanted to share my experience. Ordered July 21. Hatch, DSG with DCC and Canton. Have just received my first ever update that wasn't "no news". Been told today my car is status ST10/WK33 . So pencilled in for build sometime in Aug. How reliable will this be and if so, what is the normal lead time from build to arriving at dealer. (UK based SE.) Thanks

Hi all. Sorry for this long post . But please bear with me. Been following this thread since August when I ordered my Octavia VRS with DCC and Canton as only extras. Was told march 22 for delivery which at the time was fine for me as I was aware of the long lead times and my current Skoda karoq is not due for change until mar 23. Chased the dealer before Xmas and they finally come back to me and they still have no build date confirmed. 😭 Anyway. I wanted to re raise a question I asked 1 week after I ordered my car. A originally asked for a car in white but a week after ordering I asked if I could change the colour to graphite grey and also drop the free rear wiper I had originally picked. Was told that changes might mean an increase in price as the car would no longer be protected by the price promise agreed at the time and any inflationary annual price rises by Skoda would be passed on. I called them out on this and surprise surprise they managed to change the order as it has not been locked in the system yet and still price protected. Now with the delays on going and no build date I have been getting itchy to change my options again. I am considering getting the reversing camera and potentially the winter pack . I know this might delay my car further which if so I would not proceed. If this proves not to make any difference and I change the order, my other concern is the price rise. I know Skoda put their prices up last quarter so the potential for the price to change is real now. Could I offset any price rise by demanding that my trade in which was agreed in Aug also increase to cover the price increase. Im hearing used cars are going up and up so I think it's a fair compromise. Any feedback welcome Thanks

Thanks for this. I've pulled the trigger on Vrs petrol and have gone for DCC and Canton. Dealer asked why I wanted DCC as it's not a common option . I said once you have it you will want it all the time especially on crap UK roads.

Oh that's good. I just swapped my order from white to graphite grey as it was lighter than the previous quartz grey on the website which I didn't like. I'm hoping it's more close to the discontinued meteor grey

Well Skoda have relented and agreed the changes and still price protected. So happy days. Me 1 dealer 0. 😄

Hmm okay thanks all for the comments. They are not saying the price will rise but it could do. So it's up to me whether I want to risk it to get the new colour or just stick to my original choice.

I ordered 2 weeks ago and be build is not locked in yet. Just sitting in a computer system. Price rise happened just before I ordered. I understand prices rise normally yearly and the 2% is an estimate (average). The issue here is. Why does changing a colour which has no material cost to Skoda justify skoda pushing an annual price rise onto me whereas if I left my order as is and keep the colour they won't push a price rise on to me.

Hi there. I am after some advice. I ordered a vrs in white 2 weeks ago with an expected delivery in march 22. Having saw the new graphite grey colour opinion I asked to change my order but dealer has told me that while they can change the order the car would no longer be protected from any annual price increases made by Skoda between now and when i collect my car in march. Both colours are free on the website so should not make a difference on the price of the car They said prices could rise around 2% but they can't guarantee that there will be one considering there was one in August. I am pushing back on this as I don't think it's fair but I am after some advice on whether this is genuine or not. Thanks
