Hi FlyingGecko, thanks for the warning. I had a look at this today and as you say, the adjustments are tiny. I didn't have the correct screwdriver bit, so went plan B. I thought the distance between each ratchet stop was so small maybe I could "adjust" the depth some other way. 3 narrow strips of duct tape stuck on top of each bumper seems to be just the right thickness to allow the tailgate to shut easily and, so far, touch wood eliminate the annoying banging noise. it's early days, but seems promising. As long as the duct tape stays stuck.

That’s great news. I will give this a try as soon as possible but maybe do 1 notch at a time and see what happens. The neighbours might not appreciate loud slamming of the tailgate early in the mornings. Thanks for the update. 👍

Hello all, I also have this problem and was wondering if adjusting the stoppers has worked. Can I assume yes as the post hasn’t been updated since March?
