Hey guys. Whats the interval on a timing belt? My guess is that my car has passed that by quite much. I got a 1,8 TSI DSG. Anyways, my mechanic says that recommndations is that a "Thermal Management Module" (google translated) has to be changed with the timing belt and waterpump? Is that necessary? Timing belt and waterpump = about 580 euros With Thermal Management Module = about 1010 euros. Best regards.

Hey guys. So I've recently just noticed that the xenon lights no longer turns the direction that steering wheel is turning. I did notice a while ago that the lights would be "stock" in the left direction for a couple of seconds, before turning back to normal. Lights are working fine, when I start the car and they do the whole "start-up" thingy. Moving down and to the side. Anyone have an idea of what the problem is?

So mechanic said there we no failures. Haven't had the issue again although a often hear that the car has issues opening the tailgate. Is the old struts fixable some way?

And how can the dq200 be fit for purpose?. A store close to me offers remap for my car which will give it 220bhp / 350 nm.

Just a little side topic, but would a remap be bad then? Since the car would get higher nm.

Yeah, that kinda describe what Im feeling as well. But only that one time when the engine is cold. Or that's the one time that's "really" rough. I would love to hear if new oil is gonna fix your problem mate. Please let me know.

Sorry, english is not my first language, so Im not sure what you mean about the last part. Get a scan of the car? Before I bought the car, skoda confirmed that it was a dsg7 transmission and that it had a sealed box that didnt need oil change 🤷‍♂️

Hey there. Yeah sorry, I really should have told more about my car 😂 Its a 2014 octavia estate, 1,8 180bhp with 175.000 km on the clock. For what I know, its a DQ200 with a sealed box.

I know a lot of people had issue with the dsg7 transmission. I hope im not one of them. Someone told me that my problem is a fairly common issue that I shouldnt worry too much about. When I start the car in the morning, it sometimes makes a fairly rough transmission between 2 and 3 gear. It's only one time, and then there's nothing afterwards. Is this issue fixable? Or is it normal? Best Regards

So the electric tailgate has worked fine for the amount of time that I had the car. Like one month. But today it failed to open, and made a few beebs. It tried though, but got "stuck" almost from the beginning. So I had to close it again, and help it open and then it moved by itself. It's closes fine. My guess would be that one of the struts are broken or just getting tired. Doesnt seem like the insurrence I bought will cover that specific part. So do you guys know where I can find the part, without getting ripped? Or do you have any suggestions? Best Regards
