The last Octavia I had the dash lighting illuminated when the side lights were on, but that one didn't have DRL. It is logical what they've done as it does help prevent people driving around in urban areas in darkness with just the side lights on. Cheers 👍

  3. Hi, Wondering if anyone can help answer a question for me please? I've changed from a 2011 Octavia to a 2018 year one, I've noticed that my dash back lights (for the Speedo/rev counter etc) don't light up when I switch the lights from off to side lights, but they come on perfectly when I switch to dip/main beam. Is this normal, or is there a setting that needs changing, or is it just a fault in the car? Anyone who can help that would be much appreciated 👍. Thanks, Neal
