Hi All, Got a bit of an odd one regarding my rear driver's side door of my 2019 Sportline Plus, that I'm hopeful you highly knowlegable people might be able to help with. Sympotons of issue: Door does not electronically lock, either via the key remote or with the button just aft of the gearstick, the car also won't lock itself once in motion (it tries to do it, but fails, button does not illuminate). This model has the electronic child lock, this works both sides of the vehicle with no issue (i.e. you can open the door from outside the car, but not inside, and buttons illuminate on the drivers door, so all good there). The door can be manually locked by removing the little rubber grommet on the door frame and turning the little slot a quarter of a turn, so that to me says no mechanical issue. Door unlocks fine with the remote/KESSY when entering the vehicle. What I've tried: Manually locking the door each time as an interim measure. Removed the door trim and unplugged the door lock (essentially making it dead), this then enabled the car to automatically lock the vehicle after take off and the lock button inside the car was then working as it should. The rear drivers door could still be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling on the cable (I didn't bother to put the door card back on). VCDS Scan: I've treated myself to VCDS and it's throwing up a 3 errors regarding the rear door lock (AutoSCAN below for full details) which are all electric, but not sure if it will be an issue within the lock or somewhere else? 196650 - Motors for Central Locking B122B 12 [008] - Short to Plus 196651 - Motors for Central Locking B122B 11 [009] - Short to Ground 196665 - Switch for Central Locking B122D 29 [009] - Signal Implausible I'm not all that keen on spending near 200 quid to find that swapping the lock over isn't going to fix it, but the fact that unplugging it then enabled the car to lock itself after take off, to me suggests that it could be the lock. This may be a dumb question, but have you tried to start the update from within the navigation menu? I had trouble with getting mine to update (2019 sportline plus) it got halfway through the first go and that was it, lost the navigation completely. I re-downloaded the files (took a few attempts as it kept failing), reformatted the SD card (this time with NTFS), popped the card in, started the car up, then under the vehicle settings performed the update (couldn't do it from within the navigation as it was corrupt) and crossed my fingers. After about 20 mins all was good again (thank God!). Not sure if any of that will help your situation, but hopefully it might help. Cheers, Matt

Hi All, I found this forum while doing a bit of research on car models, and have to say it's been absolutley invaluable (and will continue to be, almost dangerous as it keeps giving me iddas of things to do ). I ended up recently getting my hands on 2019 Superb Sportline Plus, and have been enjoing every minute of it. Still can't get over the fuel economy for road trips! Here she is having just taken us up to the Isle of Skye for a bit of camping. Cheers, Matt
