  1. It's probably my being a novice, but I disconnected the original part (the one that connects the female usb adaptor to the male USB A cable that connects to the yellow fakra), then wired in the 5+ in C3 and ground to C4 as instructed, then connected it again to the yellow fakra. Must admit it was much more of a tight squeeze connecting it all up without that previous USB extension being used. Only when I powered the unit on, still none of the USB sockets get any power. What am I doing wrong? 🤓
  2. I managed to get the seller to commit to sending this out to me. It has arrived today, are you able to show / describe how I connect it? 😁
  3. Sorry to be a pain and keep asking. My USB's don't work either and I have that 4 pin jobby. I asked seller for a replacement ages ago but never got anywhere. Is this something I can purchase somewhere else for convenience? Cheers for the link to the thread, I'll check when I get chance later.
  4. Yeah the music level reduces when sat Nov says something, that's fine. It's that I can be driving then randomly the volume indicator on the screen reduces by one or two
  5. Anyone have/had issues with the volume fluctuating by itself or songs randomly restarting from the beginning? Also, more often than not, when accepting a phone call whilst driving, the other person can't hear anything from my end. Doing my nut in 😖
  6. Don't know if any of you have experienced this also.. I use Spotify for my music, downloaded a lot for offline use but also hotspot my phone. Whilst playing a track it will just randomly restart the song to play from the beginning. At first I thought it happened when I flicked the indicator or something. But definitely random when not touching anything. Any ideas?
  7. Thanks, I got it working in the end. I put in the security code before going into adaptations and it worked fine.
  8. Sorry to bring up an old thread. Just tried to change the side lights to led using the advice above on obd11. Once I change the value to 6, I confirm and it asks for a login code. I tried the 31347 but it gave me an error.. Any ideas?
  9. Yeah that's the same camera I've purchased. I had a look last night at back of stereo for a line labelled for camera, can't see anything other than the yellow female for RCA. Can I attach this red positive cable that runs through RCA to the red cable on the stereo power? Is the filter a must, as I didn't attach it 🤔 Camera does work right now without the red cable attached to + behind the stereo, but I can tell the picture isn't right
  10. Downloaded it and I must say I quite like it. Simple and easy to navigate with decent customisation. Regarding the reversing camera, bearing in mind I'm a complete novice when it comes to electronics especially.. I've managed to wire mine up at the back, boot handle fits nicely, wrestled with the tailgate trim and eventually overcame the wiring from back, through headlining to the front. I wired the camera in by connecting it to the rear wiper + and - (deciphered from YouTube vids and FB group posts). My last hurdle is in regards to wiring it in to the android head unit. Specifically, which wire do I connect the red loose wire from the RCA to? Any help would be awesome 👍
  11. Did anyone settle on a preferred launcher? Tried the car launcher free which is ok... Can't decide whether it's worth trying the pro one 🤔
  12. As @FUBAR was saying there should be just enough room to plug the power in while your holding the unit a couple inch from the dash. It looked like you had it in that position on one of your pics? If you put your hand inside the empty space where you're previous head unit was. Just inside to the left is a few holes that lead to the area above the glove box, you'll feel the one nearest is bigger than the others to feed cables through there. As for mine, I managed to get the unit powered on. Turns out it is cutting out when the canbus connector is plugged into the head unit, not sure why? I was thinking maybe the + and - are the wrong way round. (culprit below) So for now, everything works bar all the trip computer information stuff, which is a pain. I'll be asking the seller for a new harness and connectors I guess. Looks great when it's in though!
  13. Android unit still had no power the 2nd time, so I've put the original back in for now. Original one works so don't think an internal fuse gas gone. I need to check the android units fuse in case that's blown, I didn't disconnect car battery during installation. Failing that I'll sort another from supplier I guess. Quick one for you @FUBAR was there anything I was supposed to do with the power connector that plugs in to back of the original screen?
