  1. I am going to replace the spark plugs, if the problem is still there, could it be the MAF sensor? Or the ignition coils?
  2. I will definitely take this into consideration. As mentioned before in this post before, somebody stated that a fully charged battery might help. My understanding is that the battery, when the engine is on, does nothing. The alternator takes care of all the electronic devices etc, and charging the battery at the same time.
  3. I do understand that 4th is way too heavy for the engine at 20 mph, however i feel like the car should be able to handle it form a safety perspective.
  4. What sort of tools do you need in order to do this?
  5. I also suspect misfires, due to bad ignition coils. My best guess
  6. I know it's not preferably to drive in 4th at those speeds, I'm talking about provoking the issue to get symptoms. I can happen at a large roundabout of the motorway, I usually stay in 4th as long as possible to just coast and watch traffic. I get a small opening and other cars come rushing my way, I try to accelerate, and we got the problem. However, today I tried to provoke the problem when the engine just got warm and no issue.
  7. I have not cleaned the throttle body or the spark plugs, how ever the plugs are only about 2 years old. No clutch problems, like slipping etc. I am worried about the battery reset that it might cause damage.
  8. Last service was done by me in November. I replaced fuel filter air filter oil filter, new oil and a new oil separator.
  9. I feel like there is something missing in the slides/rails where you are supposed to put the cover. Do you have any images of that?
  10. No they are not missing, this piece looks exactly the same as yours.
  11. Last summer I did a scan of the entire car and the only fault code that came up was "pressure too low" meaning the cool stuff that makes AC work that gas was low. Is that common that the AC gives up already? Haha I wish my English was that good, but thanks!
  12. My retractable boot lid cover doesn't stay in place as it should. I wonder if any of you know how to fix this? I'm guessing some plastic parts has been broken over time. How do I resolve this?
  13. Good to know it has gone far around, 168 750 miles. With full service history. Do you think it's possible to get 220 000 miles with this engine?
  14. Hi fellow Skoda owers, The car in question is a Fabia 2009 with the 1.2 htp engine, BZG. When I'm idling after the car has been running at operating temperature for 20+ minutes, it judders sometimes. It feels like a small jump like the engine coughs silently however the idle speed is not affected by the juddering. Also, what is a healthy number of instant consumption when the engine is at operating temperature and idling? Mine usually displays 0.6 l/h. However, when I switch off the low beam it goes down to 0.5 l/h. When the judder is occurring, the instant idle consumption typically goes from 0.3-0.5 l/h, a more unsteady. What is a healthy number for the instant fuel consumption at idle? I'm guessing the cause of the judder is bad ignition coils. Sorry for my poor English.
  15. That would be very nice, yes! One thing that is also on my mind, I the milage. My car has done 165 000 miles and I have the BZG engine. It has a full service book and I feel like it's well maintained mechanically. How long could I keep going do you think? The concern is the timing chain tensioner. I hear no rattles so far during cold starts.
  16. Yes a fault caode reader. I think i will be able to download VCDS but i still need to connector to obd2 and then till my laptop. How do you get those stuff?
  17. We used a big tablet which is capable of reading codes of all car brands and models.
  18. Can you download VCDS and what could it show me that a debugger cant?
  19. No, I have not located it yet, or identified it as the problem. I thought I just had to locate the relay and then unplug it
  20. Do i need to unsolder the relay in order for it to come out like on the Mk 1 Fabia?
