Issue with new clutch, could it be the slave cylinder?
I'm not trying to argue with you but the material surface is completely flat against the rivet holes which is why I said the pictures don't do it much justice. You might see imprint of the material but there is no material left. Sorry to sound dumb but what is a control loading cam?

Issue with new clutch, could it be the slave cylinder?
The original clutch was indeed on it's way out and the pictures don't really show the full picture. The plate was flat with little to no material left in places and the difference in feel when driving the car is night and day . My concern is that the pedal felt soft and the biting point was difficult to guess after having experienced a new clutch change for the first time but what I didn't expect was for it to firm up after a week or so and the pedal offering a tiny bit of resistance when pressing in

Issue with new clutch, could it be the slave cylinder?
Hi folks, I had my original SMF clutch changed on my Skoda Octy 2, 1.6 TDI a month ago at 120k miles. The replacement was a like for like new LuK 3 pc kit and I made sure to have the lever changed and clutch fluid drained and replaced at the same time by a reputable local indy garage. Prior to having the work done, pressing the clutch no longer felt smooth and I had started noticing some 'resistance' pushing down the clutch pedal. It's hard to explain however it didn't stop me from fully pressing the pedal but there were 2 or 3 spots at which I'd feel it stick. There was no audible sounds or vibration. Since having the new clutch in at the beginning of November, it felt so soft to begin with and I struggled finding the biting point for the first week or so. A month and 300 or so miles later, It has firmed up quite a bit but I've noticed the 'resistance' has returned when pushing the pedal, even whilst stationary. It's not as bad as it was before but I feel the small slight niggle only in 1 spot when pushing down on the clutch pedal. I returned to the garage who have checked and concur my findings and suggest it could be the slave cylinder. Before going down a wild goose chase, I'm looking to pick some brains for advice please on what the issue could be. I have attached photos of the old clutch that was removed below;

Octavia 1.6 TDI Greenline - diff pressure sensor pipe going to nowhere
Hey guys. I've been investigating smoke behind the engine area which was down to a loose clamp when I noticed this pipe. The left side pipe on the diff pressure senssor connects to pre-DPF. The second pipe runs to the side of the timing belt cover and I assume it has to connect to the post DPF pressure connector. As far as I can see, there doesn't appear to be anything broken on the DPF or anywhere for this to connect to. DPF is working (AFAIK) and car regens as normal. I've never noticed the DPF light come on the dash and use VAG DPF to monitor as and when a regen is required. Is it normal for this pipe to be connected to nothing? Other posts indicate the post DPF usually measures atmospheric pressure but surely this didn't roll off the production line like this unless the previous owner had a wrong DPF fitted?

NEW Injectors for 1.6 TDI UK Diesel parts?
The 03L130277B was superseded by 03L130277S but the old model wasn't recalled. They are notorious for failing. One of my originals failed at 110k miles and I was quoted £600 including VAT from a main stealer for the new S model (part only) last week. If you're intent on changing it with a new injector, you should get the VDO A2C9626040080 for quite a bit cheaper. Autodoc usually have these for £280-285 but have gone up to £305 https://www.autodoc.co.uk/vdo/10586786 They are unreliable at best and were showing in stock but cancelled my recent order. The ukdieselparts site doesn't let you to check out and don't answer their phones so I assume they've closed/gone bust. Google shows they're permanently closed. I ended up changing my bad injector with a second hand one. Reason being, the listings on eBay for reconditioned and refurbs don't specify whether you'll get the updated VDO A2C9626040080 or VW 03L130277S part. Most likely, you'll get a reconditioned 03L130277B injector which may go bad eventually. The price for a recons are not far off a new VDO unit so you may as well buy a new one. This seller has sold quite a few of the VDO ones and has them for £289 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163183085716 Remember you'll need a new stretch bolt to hold the clamp in, VW part WHT003187, around £2.5 from a main stealer
