  1. Quick trip to my local mechanic, good bloke. Took him about 27 seconds to remove the fault. And as I use him for several cars, gratis too. All sorted
  2. Is it only dealers that can reset the airbag warning or can it be done with ordinary obd? Yes, managed to pull wrong fuse
  3. I never found any on Ali Express that were the correct fitment, only ones that claim to be but actually looked a quite poor universal fit. Kopacec or Superskoda are the best ones IMO, but they are not cheap.
  4. It is from a thread called Octavia III adaptations tried and tested. The second entry is a list of coding. Scroll down to retrofit football lighting (Or something very similar) This is a direct lift..... Trim removal: (most of the main part is on the passenger’s side to access the Plug control module). Remove the bonnet release handle – I found this pops off with a small amount of force to get it off its ratchet. Under the handle is a small plastic screw fixing that needs gentle removal using pliers/plastic prying tool (I manage the snap the head off this) and remove the fixing. Then remove the side panel to the left of the dashboard, the panel where the bonnet release was (connected to the door sill trim) can all be unclipped (gently!) and moved aside. Finally remove the glove box and now you have ‘better access to the electrics. I also removed the side kick panel on the passenger’s side (one torx fixing) and the longer trim that runs alongside the lower center console. I did the same on the driver’s side (along with the foot rest) to enable easy routing for the driver’s side lights. The side trim is similar removal to the passenger’s side but without the bonnet release. Footwell not football🙄
  5. I'm fairly certain to remove the trim around door/carpet it goes like this... Door open, you will need to peel back the door seal from dash to seat. On side of dash which is normally hidden by door, the large central peice will unclip with a screwdriver or bodywork pry tool. This uncovers the top of the larger trim peice that runs from the side of the pedals under the cash all the way to the rear of the door/carpet junction. This large price is also pull off, I don't recall any screws, but do check. Refit is reverse. It's a long time since I did it to fit football lights, so maybe have a quick check of that thread to see if there are better instructions. Good luck
  6. They look the same pal, with clear lenses. Just go into your boot, as these are normally the easiest to get to. Prise off as mentioned in the thread previous, have a look and compare. They are so easy to remove pal, if I recall it's the top edge, which should be shorter, that clips out. Will take seconds. If you want red bulbs there are loads out there, again prices vary as do quality. I think I'd give it a go for the price as long as you local to collect.
  7. Thanks to both for quick replies. I think I'll struggle with anti-perforation warranty as this is an issue with paint which would cause rust from outside the panel, rather than inside to outside. Even though the issue is from behind paint. It's a bubble but not caused from rust. The paint warranty is 3 years which I am very much outside of. The consumer act mentioned for 6 years is interesting, but I am fairly confident that would be from new, and the car is 7 years old. I did find a part of warranty that covers work done by approved network ( in toots thread) covers paint work for another 3 years from completion of repair. I am at around 3 1/2 years since they did the work. So I'm out on that one too. I'm likely to take the car for estimate at local place that painted bonnet after some kind soul left their mark in it. That's been 3 years and not a single issue.
  8. Ok, sounds odd, here goes. Owned my Octavia Estate almost 5 years. A few years ago I noticed some blisters in the paint, on the roof, in the valley over the doors below the roof rails. I went to Skoda, who measured the paint, said it was a manufacturing defect, and they sent my car to a local specialist and repainted the roof. All good. I've noticed the same issue coming again, worse. But in the same area (the valley but not the exact spot as before). So I took the car to be checked. They now say that I've not had a bodywork service, there by they are not responsible. 1) Has anyone ever heard of a bodywork service? 2) Does anyone KNOW the warranty on the paint (2015 car) 3) Surely if this is their repair it's their issue to put right (I think it's about 3 years ago though) Any suggestions that won't cost the earth? F@cking love the car, but Skoda just annoyed me making up a bodywork service
  9. The door are normally red lenses, and the others clear. But I don't think there's an issue with clear leases and red bulbs if that's all that out there. I did see some clear ones that were red bulbs, about £13 a pair. Also some that were red lenses that were about £13 each. I have never bought from any of these sellers though so can't say anything about the product unfortunately. Also, they fit VW, Audi, Seat but not sure which models/marks use the same ones.
  10. Sorry dude, mine went in boot lights. You should be able to find a pair on a well known auction site for around 10 or 12 quid. It's the same light/housing that does the door, glove box, boot, courtesy and footwell. So a search for any of these might be succesful, also if you have a look at one from your own glove box, or boot, you should see what they are supposed to look like. Good hunting bro
  11. Just a pry tool on the short edge, the one nearest the rear of the car. There is nothing to it, they just pop out, and the wiring is the same. The wiring will only go in one way too, so cant go wrong. Just dont ket theveire fall into the door. It will honestly take you about an hour. That's 59 minutes to admire them after the 1 minute to fit them.
  12. The ones from Superskoda or Kopacec as I think it's called, are ace. FluffyEyeball posted a link above. They are a white/clear lens. I could only find red for Kodiaq and Yeti, if I recall they were about 5 quid different. A very good secure fit, proper plug n go if you get exactly what you want ghost design wise. Have a read of my previous posts if you can't get the design you want, it was a fairly easy swap out in all honesty, around 5 to 10 minutes to change the design....about 20 seconds to fit the lights to the doors. They are proper bright too
  13. I've had no issues, and plenty of fun, with my VRS Tdi remap from Derv-tech in Manchester. I don't know if they touch gearbox tho as mine is manual. 236 bhp and 380 torque, runs beautiful.
  14. Don't know why it put all them symbols in, it did say D...e...r...v..t...e...c...h Hope that works😉
  15. Took my 2015 vRS TDi to ##!!##h in Manchester. They did rolling road remap on it, up to 236 bhp and 380 ftlb, no mechanical issues or adaptations. Could do more but would likely need cooling alterations too. I think several places use a Revo map, which gives very similar results I believe. I was under the impression, rightly or wrongly, that the map does change the power available in the different modes, although I leave mine in sport cos it's fun. The cost was about £400, although was a couple of years ago. I'd think any decent remap folks would be able to answer your question, but I defo wouldn't be buying a new ECU at them costs.
  16. Tryna get some of these purely for cosmetics. Don't want to pay 20 quid to get them shipped from abroad. Local VW can't order them, neither can local Skoda🙄, TPS won't deal with me 'Cos I'm not a business. Does anyone know a site where I can get them, with a link preferably, without doubling the cost for posting?
  17. They nice dude👍👍 I'd still have mine on if they both still worked.
  18. They came with some sticky pads. I did manage to use these to make a sort of gasket, two on each light. They sat flush with the door card with this make shift gasket, but with a slight touch would move a little. I'll say again, they did look good when they worked tho.
  19. Those from opendoorled where the not so cheap Chinese knick off. They are not a great fit to be honest. They sit outside the recess for the light, the joining wire adaptor is a slight loose fit, the sticky pads are not sticky, and one of them lasted 2 weeks. The film's were good tho. When they worked tgey were bright and looked ok. Just the fit not great. The fit on the Superskoda ones is far superior on my eyes, although each to their own. Hope you're happy with them dude, they did look good when working
  20. So, the lights arrived, and as per normal from Superskoda, very good. I ordered YETI but opened the lights, plastic lens clips off, two screws from behind release inner workings. Automotive sealant hold the projector casing which was easily removed. The plates are glass, so scratched off the design and added the ones I had. Just have to align the image to get straight. I added a bit of double sided tape to the projector to stop any movement as I don't have any sealant. They really are plug on, great fit, very bright. Sorry about the light design, I'm a nerd.
  21. I can only see the white, but I checked againt other cars, and they do red for the Kodiaq and Yeti. Looks to be the same light, white/clear lenses and red bulbs. I'll open them and change the ghost logo to some I already have. I'll keep folks updated when they arrive, I got impatient and ordered them
  22. Hi, I've been trying to find these ghost lights in red for what seems an age. I can only find crap ones that don't fit properly, or when they arrive are cheap knock offs from very east. Are these one pictured from Superskoda? And have you just changed the bulbs to red?
