Clearly you are convinced that the Xenon illumination is dim. Thus I will remove the halogens this weekend . If you are correct the high beam intensity will be greatly reduced. Then it's looking in to the cause of the ridiculously near dipped range. Thanks Xman.

Yes the bulbs on mine are a cinch to replace but as I have stated the main beam is exceptional and I can see no reason other than settings for them to dim down for dipped so I assume those contributors who make reference to level sensors and shutter settings must be on the right track in my case. I want to known- if this is the case - if there is someone near me who can efficiently deal with this and at what cost otherwise I'll buy some extra lamps and bolt them on somewhere.

SuperbDreams, Thank you. I did wonder if this was the case. What type of bulb will I find inside? Is it something that I can replace with an LED? Re. centre bulb, the overhead passenger interior lamp unit contains three bulbs. I have changed them all for LED's but I have no idea what illuminates the third or middle one.

How do you activate it? The centre bulb of the estate rear interior cluster. How do you change the bulb in the inside units of the tailgate? Thank you.

Gents, Ladies, Others, Any of you know the least expensive monitoring kit and software for a Mac? Figured that it might be worth investing in an A-VWHT DSG gearbox OilChange Adaptor and monitoring gubbins to do my own DSG filter and fluid change not least because I don't trust any approved garage to do it correctly such has been my experience in life. Members, greetings. Can't find anything on zeroing the Superb 2 trip other than the Skoda manual and noting that in some vids they scroll to 'Trip'. 'Trip' doesn't appear in any menu that mine has (2012) and holding the menu wheel down does nothing to the trip mileage. HELP. Can the tailgate gubbins or the catch be accessed and adjusted to hold the tailgate more firmly? Mine rattles. FYI now changed to 16" wheels - ex Audi - and Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 2, 205 55 R16's. Quieter and so much more comfortable it has made driving in the UK so much better.

My I resurrect this thread? I have now gained access to the menu on 'Nav' via 'tone' but the menu is confusing: one of the screens provides two volume slide controls. What do we do with that? Could someone provide me with what to do with this menu?

Gents, Others, Just watched this and my question is what bulbs dare I use to replace the interior illumination as it is currently dimmer than my 1982 Merc? I am aware that LED's sometimes upset electronics and cost more without producing much heat but what about regualar filament bulbs?
