Did you ever get confirmation of a build date or did it unexpectedly appear from the factory?

This had crossed my mind too but as the dealer is willing to extend the deal if the car is late then I’d say no in my own case. However if I’d been waiting since July then I think my patience would have just run out. Good luck 🤞🏻

Checked with ŠKODA Webchat today and was advised lead time for VRS is currently 28 weeks. Does anyone really know, I wonder.

No provisional build week either, originally told it would be 2 months before provisional date would be communicated but it will soon be 4 months and still nothing. Dealer has kept in touch however although I think they are in the dark as much as the customers. I’m now hoping that, like has happened with some others on this forum, the car arrives before a build date is confirmed! My p/x price is good for another two months but I’d rather know now if it’s not going to be here by then. Skoda podcast a couple of months ago suggested they’d have structured allocation comms up and running by end of December but it’s obviously not happened. Using this forum to plot everyone’s journey/experience and at least a couple of the guys who’ve been waiting longest are getting some good news.

Also ordered a VRS, early October, only winter and sleep packs added and no word of a build date 🤨

Agreed. Maybe they think the black wheels are with another £5k. Been a few VRS on Autotrader recently- another enigma.

Just checked pics of the brand new-in stock VRS at Watford Škoda on Autotrader; door felt still there, who knows what’s going on….. will wait and see

Seriously, the door bin felt has gone? You may think I’m joking but that’s a deal breaker for me as ŠKODA is one of the few manufacturers to do this and stuff doesn’t rattle and slide about- a joy to have actually, and a quality touch. I don’t mind the boot light being removed as I’ve never used it with the 3 skoda’s we’ve had over 7 years, and I didn’t mind the illumination of the AC vent control rings being removed because hey, when they’re open they’re open, right? I WAS impressed they’d added kessy to the rear doors which is just fantastic, but no door felt, that’s just not on. I take it if an L&K doesn’t have it then none of them do? Anybody got anything else missing?

Can I ask, when did they come back to you to confirm your build week?

Have you given the exhaust sound booster another go or is it still a no-no? This is an aspect I was looking forward to but you made think maybe not 😬

Great news Kenny R. Your patience has been admirable! My order accepted by factory 3 months ago but still no build date; hoping, like Dappernut and Yogi-Bear, that car will arrive without a build date having been communicated. Not in a hurry but what a surprise that would be 🎁

Hi folks, Like a few of you guys here have mentioned, the part/ex deal on current car was too good to miss and so ordered a VRS early October with the quote for current p/x value fixed until May next year- plenty of time for delivery, or so I thought until seeing this thread! Anyway, dealer has at least confirmed the order has been accepted by the factory which I suppose is a start. Only Winter and Sleep packs added. Will review your progress/news with interest given the latest developments……
