  1. Has anyone have an idea on how to find part number for MK4 RS Challenge exhaust system or how to get one ? If you are not sure what I'm talking about, here is video of what that exhaust sounds like. If you have a non-Challenge RS, the exhaust sound is pretty much nonexistent.
  2. I have a TSI VRS MY23, and I've put Remus exhaust on it. First I got a non resonated system and had it for half a year. From outside the sound was great but inside the cabin it was unbearable. Heavy drone noise on lower RPM and vibrations. Then half a year later I got a resonated unit, installed it, tested it and noticed that drone noise has not gone away. Still on deceleration and normalan driving it has a drone inside the cabin, drone only goes away after 4000rpm . I am not sure if it is maybe an installation error that causes this drone or exhaust is just like that. But that is not what I would expect from Remus, since those exhaust systems are not cheap. I have also read on some BMW forum post from someone that got Remus for their BMW 3 series or M3, that drone with Remus systems were unbearable, Does someone have Remus installed on their VRS and what is your experience with it ?
  3. So I managed to get the camera replaced under warranty. After replacement this is what the camera picture looks like now. All warped and missing the lower red line. Dealer didn't calibrate the camera, and they only replaced the inner lens. Picture is still not clear. I didn't even leave the dealer lot and called them to check the "work" they had done. Guy who is in charge of vehicle service told me it should be like that and that is because of an update LoL. But he said he will check with Skoda. Now two weeks later no info from them, I even called them a few times and they told me they will get back to me, but nothing. I also told them what they did wrong, and it was like I was talking to a wall. I have scanned the car with OBD eleven and there are fault codes for Rear view camera. No clue what to do next. I hoped I could calibrate the camera myself but found out it's not as simple as I thought.
  4. It is the angle of the photo. Moisture got into outer and inner lens, not sure if that will go away because it is like that for the past few weeks.
  5. Has anyone had issue with moisture getting into backup camera. As shown in picture somehow water got into my backup camera and now I have blurry image... it got so bad camera is useless at night. Should I report this to dealer? Or try to fix it somehow myself... I'm little fed up with this vehicle. If I report this to the dealer, it will be fourth time that something needs to be replaced under warranty (faulty steering wheel, rubber stoppers for tailgate and ski hatch cover).
  6. Mine is Style that would be same as SEL in UK. And this is the spec. @SiWaitingHave you ever experienced cheap or faulty suspension ? That is what I meant by "crashing".
  7. First, I don't have kids, so one problem less. Second, if you can afford that kind of car you can also afford to pay fuel for it. And also in this crazy times fuel prices are all the same so mpg really doesn't matter that much, it only matters how heavy your foot is. I like Golf R but that car is far more expensive then vRS, and it is not that practical. MK7.5 R from 2018 is the same price as vRS(spec that I want), and I'm not willing to pay that kind of money for almost 4 year old car. Octavia is a great car for every day, car looks amazing, I just don't like how my current car behaves on the road and I would like a little more power. And I'm not that concern about resale value. Prices of used cars are now crazy regardless of which spec or engine is desirable, and I don't see that changing any time soon. I think I will skip this vRS that was offered to me and place an order for new one. Dealer wants some miserable amount for order confirmation. So when the car comes, who knows when that will be, if I decide that I don't want it, I can bail out.
  8. To fill you all on this. Yesterday I was at my first oil change and I told them to check suspension and they found what I expected, nothing... Test drove Octavia with sport suspension and without DCC, and the car feels more stable and comfy on the road. For some reason that car is much quieter then mine. Had other person in the car that confirmed all that. It feels like DCC is not working like it should on my car, but dealer won't do anything about it. Was offered vRS in exchange for my car, and almost said yes because I am fed up with how my car rides.
  9. Yesterday was offered to exchange my 2021 Octavia TDI DSG 150hp for 2022 Octavia vRS TSI. I am not sure what to do, because I just to have pay a little difference for vRS. But vRS lacks in optional equipment. My current Octavia has some good options, vRS on the other hand for eg. doesn't even have reversing camera, travel assist, blind spot assist, DCC etc... Only good option that it has and that is rare to come by these days is Canton sound system. I am regretting a year ago when was ordering my car I didn't go for vRS, even test drove vRS (only for 20min), but couldn't push myself to do it. Is vRS worth it ? Should I buy it ? FYI my car has 22 000 km and vRS is brand new of the showroom floor. vRS is all black with Comet wheels.
  10. if you asking me, I said it in the post above. I run 18" for winter and the summer. I see lot of you are owners of vRS, so maybe car behaves differently with IRS (independent rear suspension). My car is fitted with torsion beam. When I was ordering the car I was sure it will be the same as with VW Golf, lower spec cars will get torsion beam, higher spec cars will get IRS. But I was mistaken.
  11. Now on winter set is somewhere between 2.5 to 2.7 bar. Year ago when I picked up the car from the dealer it was on summer tires and they were over inflated, I think they were around 3.0 bar.
  12. My car also feels stiff and "crashes" over bumps and potholes, when I go over them I can feel the shock go through the whole car. One day I was fed up with that and decided to look it up and found out about transport blocks, I was 100% sure it was that because of how car behaved. Lifted the car up pulled the rubber shock gaiters and to my surprise found nothing. 20 000km later and I still don't know why the car is so stiff. I came to terms with the fact that I have "sport" suspension and 18" wheels, and that is the cause of stiff ride. I also have DCC but that doesn't help much, in comfort car is too bouncy and "crashing" suspension feeling is even worse, normal mode is same as comfort but there is no bouncing , and sport is too stiff too drive on my crappy roads but that crashing feeling is little toned down. When I was ordering my car in late 2020 , I was offered to test drive RS also with DCC and 19" wheels and I don't remember car being that stiff, but maybe I didn't pay much attention to that. Not sure what to do now... I have first oil change coming up and was thinking about telling the dealer about that when they take the car in, but I am not sure they can do something. Maybe it's not the car it is just me... 😄
  13. Got enough information to give up on this.. thanks 🙂
  14. I don't understand why they then added this in ODB11 if all cars with memory seat come with this function and you can't enable it on others. I found out post about MK3 mirror dip, apparently you need to have different mirror motor with few more wires. Maybe it is the same case with MK4. But some say they got it to work without changing any hardware, only coding.
  15. Not really sure of that, I have tried to enable some other things and it didn't allow it.
