  1. Hi, I'm here asking for help and advice. I own a Skoda Fabia gpl 2009. In the previous weeks I have had some problems with second gear (hard to find and engage). Because I have no time to investigate I let it be, till yesterday when no gears enters anymore. The command is not loose but it seems like the position doesn't match anymore. The main lever on the gearbox works fine, under the hood I'm able to select gears by hand and make the car moving. Cables seems fine and If I move them the shift stick in the cockpit moves. I found that one of the teeth of the element wich connect the and of the cable to the mechanism on the gearbox in missing (picture) and I think that the "out of phase" of my shift was his fault. I replace it and follow the workshop manual I found online: locked the shift in the cockpit with one drill bit, put the gearbox in neutral position, locked it and attacked the springs. Now I'm able to select only few gears but not all of them. I answer myself saing that the problem is the correct tension of cables, but can't solve it. I have watched many videos but I'm not able to understand what I did wrong. Maybe there is another problem unknown to me. Thank you very much for all the advices.
  2. I don't know how to thank you for your help and patience. I'll try and update the post.
  3. Do I have to find and replace the part number 15 in photo?
  4. Hi, thank you for your answear. I try: the noise start when I turn the key, it get worst if AC starts and stops if i demand "recirc".
  5. I try what you said and check the evaporator sensor, nothing change. Haven't much time to work on the car these days. Yesterday when I start the engine a new noise came from behind the glove box, where is the air blower, like a "toc toc toc". The car was cold and the external air colder (near zero). What could have been? Thank you for your help
  6. Thank you very much, I'll try as sono as I can. Let you know the result
  7. Hi, I'm going to tell this story only for the report. Now the problem it's solved. Maybe someone will find this helpful or interesting. I have a soda Fabia wagon 2009 with GPL Landi-Renzo plant. The car has had problems for years that come and go: turn off suddenly, turn off if the engine revs up, has acoustical advice and a very low speed that goes away if you turn off and start again the car. The yellow light of the engine turns on very frequently. Running with petrol never had any issue, that's happened only with GPL. I brought it to official retailers in three different places several times and other garages nearby. No one has ever managed to solve completely the problems that always show up again. The last time, this spring, after 5 years of troubles, I left it twenty days to friends, a ford authorized mechanic, which discovers that all the faults were of the control unit: the component used to burn the GPL injector. He noticed it because every time he changes the component, after some days it doesn't work anymore. It cost me 500 € but now my car goes like new. Volkswagen in Florence ask me 3500€ to solve the problem last time I asked.
  8. Hi, I'm writing here looking for help. Some weeks ago I bring my car to the near garage to recharge the AC, it stops working some weeks before: no cold air was produced. While the cold air comes back the hot initially becomes weak, then completely stops. Now, no matter how long the engine is running, the AC system provides only cold air. I check fuses and the level of cooling water. I read other posts in the forum and tried to look for air in the system with no result (I read a topic about let running the engine and AC without the coolant tank cap). I have a normal AC, whitout digital display or controls. The fan work correctly and the button of AC light up normally. I change regularly the pollen filter. Have you some precious advice for me? Thank you very much
