  1. My warm congratulations! Finally. Will be happy to take over the crown of the longest waiter!
  2. I think it actually does, just not for us In Finland, deliveries have been getting better month over month according to FI forum sources. You can also see more and more people get their cars here. That being said, some of us are doomed to suffer at hands of Skoda planners or random number generator that decides which car to build.
  3. Yes, the sheet is a mess since early September. I tried to restore it, but there were too many smaller edits, that proved to be labors of Sisyphus.
  4. With 14 months gone and no end in sight, I've recently stumbled upon a very interesting review on new Honda Civic. The way is works with those engine-generators is a bit unorthodox, but it seems to be an interesting alternative. The prices are quite steep here, but quite close compared to e.g. RS or Style with 2.0 TSI engine. And delivery times are pretty fast. *Doubts*...
  5. That was done on purposes to reduce number of variants. As far as I know, the the classic version without hybrid component comes with manual transmission only. If you order with DSG, you will always get eTec mild hybrid. This is why the engine has (eTec) in brackets - the type can be deducted from transmission.
  6. Ok, I was suspecting that. It looks like they don't wanna give any firm dates for eTec cars. By the way - whoever deleted "Transmission" column from the sheet - please don't do this. The edit happened on September 14th and it screwed the table really bad. Now we can either revert to the version on Sept 13th and loose all changes since then or live with the fact that data is a mess now 😞 There's a lot of valuable information for analysis and it's simply not cool to delete data just like that.
  7. Is this confirmed one or provisional?
  8. Ouch. I see you also have 1,5 e-Tec. Looks like I should expect mine somewhere around April-May or even later, given that I have a few "problematic" options..
  9. Should not. It doesn't need a "noise generator" (lol, we live in interesting times) since the normal engine is always on when the car is moving.
  10. You're not the only one. I've ordered two days after you, and so far I've had 'provisional' build date that was pushed and pushed and pushed. So essentially there's no real delivery date because that provisional one as as good as rot in tomato. There's not too much in common between our orders though: different engines, different transmission, different options.
  11. Not an apple to apples comparison, I know, but just to share some thoughts. I've got 1.5 e-Tec on order (delay edition) whilst driving Astra 1.0T with EasyTronic. Astra has an engine similar to Skoda 1.0 TSI e-tec. In terms of output it's 105 hp @ 170 Nm torque vs 110 hp @ 200nm for Octavia. Surprisingly, weight-wise Astra hatch is also 10 kg heavier then Octavia estate. So power-to-weight ratio is better with Octavia with the mild hybrid technology and DSG helping to deliver this power to the wheels. Opel's EasyTronic is a bloody disaster, I drive it only in "manual" mode. Now, in terms of power empty or one extra passenger 105 hp is quite OK. Not the race car of course, but handles reasonably well. When loaded with 2-3 passengers and something in trunk the thing becomes a barge. With no power budget available you have to plan in advance on highway and in the busy city. I'm quite sure it will be slightly better in Octavia, but with the load I'm quite sure you'll feel the power deficit as well. So overall, maybe consider 1.5 to be on a safe and comfy side
  12. Myeah, that 14 months is quite laughable. I was looking at the recent configurator here in Finland - they've removed quite a bit of options available for order. Some things I noted which were previously available with 1.5 TSI were: - Park Assist 3.0 (been not available for a while) - Rear seats 220V socket (why?!) - Electrically adjustable seats - Canton (also N/A for a while) At the same time prices have increased quite a bit - approx +2K for my configuration without some of the options since they are now N/A.
  13. Congrats! Do send the pics please
  14. Damn.. I've got 4H5 (maybe, it was standard when I ordered it, no more in MY22/23 cars), 7X5, PD8 and 7Y1. Looks like a long wait ahead still..
  15. Good info on MHEV versions.. At least they will be producing *some*, though I wonder what the backlog is. In our 'sample size' around a quarter of people ordered MHEVS.
  16. So it's been an anniversary of my order with a visit to the dealer just to find that "no news, no confirmed build date". You know, they say there are five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. I feel like I've been though all of them, but now I'm starting all over again
  17. Hanging.. Still hanging. Paid a visit to the dealer this week.. Unconfirmed build date is now end of November.. Expected delivery in December. Which makes it 1,5 years since the other 😞
  18. Congrats to people who took deliveries! And please remember to update the sheet once you had yours handed over - helps with the stats collection. Based on a tiny data set our average delivery time as of now stands at 53 weeks. I'm not there yet, so I guess I can't bitch just yet
  19. Yeah, I keep seeing more and more Skodas here in Finland, and each time I get envious Where is MY car?!
  20. VIN added as a separate field and updated where applicable You can create your own filter by clicking the filter icon called "Filter Views". It's second last.
  21. We can, it's just a matter how do we want to calculate the delay. My logic was: it's either between original promised delivery time and NOW e.g. my order was originally due end of January so now I have ~18 weeks of delay. If we leave only one estimate column we can't really calculate that delay. So, really depends on what kind of information you are looking for.
  22. Looks like we've got a pretty good overview of the cars already DGSs are a common topic, but not exclusive - some manuals there as well. Quite a lot of electronics and good trim levels - mostly Style. But so far nothing definitive. Interesting that there are hardly any 1,0 TSI engines. I noticed they seem to be much more available here in the market - either almost new or second hand.
  23. It should calculate week automatically as a difference between promised delivery and NOW or between promised delivery and actual delivery if the actual delivery date is filled in.
  24. So it seems that there was a positive reception to do a spreadsheet, so I've made one here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17h4myLSMpZ3dohgDJX25mkOhKLbyepEaeEeYcA3AqFY/edit?usp=sharing I know we have different trims, countries and configurations, I've done the best to accommodate for that. If someone wants to do some prettification please feel free
  25. Did anyone write directly to Skoda Auto to complain about the overall situation? Maybe they don't feel enough pressure?
