Hi there, I'm looking to replace my octavia with a superb. Currently got a 1.6tdi. I was wondering whats the difference between the 1.4 and 1.5 petrol engine? Mpg figures look good. Anything to consider or look out for? Thanks

Okay. I'll have a look. I can see me sending the car back to finance at this rate. I'm not throwing another stupid amount at it for another 4 injectors.

If it is that, Are the injectors likely to be gubbed?

Would that be visible? I'd have thought it would give a fault code aswell if it's causing an issue

I'm currently considering getting rid. What else could it be? Realistically?

I'm at my wits end with this already. Its cost an absolute fortune already 😒

Would that be a fuel cleaner / injector cleaner through it?

I have a 2018 octavia 1.6tdi. It's serviced every 10k with genuine parts and has been since I've owned it. Car has just turned 145k miles. Few weeks ago I had a ticking noise...an injector knock. Diagnostic didn't pick it up. Ended up putting 4 new injectors in it. Absolutely ideal have done 2k miles since and got the ticking noise again, this time accompanied by a misfire and diagnostic read "cylinder 2 combustion chamber" Also 3 injectors at start up showers 0 degree of heat at start up and cylinder 2 had 19 degrees. Injector 2 changed today. Car ran great for 60-80 miles and it's back to ticking again but no mis fire - this time no fault codes. Part of me wonders could it be dirt in the fuel as both times this has happened around 60 miles after filling up.... Help! Thanks

***UPDATE*** had the car put on the computer and it brought up a temporary fault in nox sensor 2. Put a bottle of vw additive in and fault appears to have rectified

The car fires up fine, it just then mis fires for a few mins, I could drive 200yds and its fine. And then when it's warm you'd never know it had mis fired. No lights on dash and idle is steady about 800

It fires up straight away but just rough

I wondered about that. Just baffled as no lights on dash etc. Car has 56k miles. Serviced with genuine parts every 10k

Hi guys, New to this forum..I have a 68 plate 1.6 tdi manual octavia. When I start the car in the morning it Mis fires for a few minutes before settling down. After that I can start the car at anytime and it just seems normal. Surely someone can help me . Thanks
