MY 21 - infotainment
If you get a 90 degree usb adaptor (See Amazon £5.99 for two), you can hide a usb drive ( or in my case an iPod ), in the cubby hole and close the sliding cover?

Just ordered a Karoq
I waited from August 2010 until January 2011 for my Yeti - the wait was worth it!

Yeti 2017 compared to 2013
My 2011 CR 170 TDi (Revo remapped, lowered, Bilsteins and updated ARB’s ) averaged brim to brim 41.2 mpg over 64500 miles driven ‘con brio’ on Shell V Power. Driven like Miss Daisy, I regularly saw 55+ mpg on the Maxidot. The replacement Karoq 190 TDi DSG is giving just over 40mpg @ 1400 miles, driven less enthusiastically to date!

Official Yeti Owners List
After nearly 10 happy years with my CR170 Yeti (unfixed) I've moved on to a Karoq. The gap between the value of the Yeti and a replacement (there isn't one, BTW!) was growing ever greater, so we took the plunge and went for a Karoq. We hope it will be another 10 year 'keeper' and anticipate its eventual replacement will be fully electric! Despite covering less miles this year to date, than we ever have done previously, its proving equal or better in every area except character = no more friendly waves from other Yeti owners! Still visiting here daily, though - such a helpful, supportive and friendly place.

New Karoq Owner
Similar tale here - nearly 10 happy Yeti years, needed to keep up to date with a current model for the next 10 (takes me to 85 = battery land!) Like you picked up a stock vehicle to almost my ideal spec. Bought Feb (similar deal ) now just hit 1200 miles! Enjoy your Karoq - certainly very happy with mine as I adjust to the increased size!

Karoq OBDeleven Tweaks
For info - enabling the 'Scandi' DRLs via Carista did not leave the DRLs on when lights turned on on my Karoq.

Alex, PM sent! 👍

Does my drive belt need replacing?
False economy not to replace the water pump at the same time. Most good independents should undercut main dealerships, but check genuine parts are used in case of later issues, which might involve 'goodwill' from Skoda UK. My 2p 👍

Carista discussion thread
Hi Chris, I've run through all my options for 'Customisations' - sadly no mention of Soundkator or anything related 😞

RHD Aluminium Footrest
Checked VIN with SkodaParts.com, which I have used regularly - that design of footrest is LHD only - HTH! 👍

RHD Aluminium Footrest
I think I've got one of those somewhere from back in my Golf GTi days! I'll look it out! 👍

RHD Aluminium Footrest
Just checking - think that might be LHD only? 😔 Much prefer the shape of the one I have which matches exactly the factory footrest.

RHD Aluminium Footrest
I took a gamble on the Golf one fitting, and it was a 'struggle' getting the lugs underneath to drop into the slots, but we made it eventually - there's just one Torx screw to remove and the lugs on the footrest do fit and the screw hole aligns perfectly. To remove the existing footrest, remove the Torx screw and firmly push/slide the foot rest about 15mm towards the front of the car then prise up with a trim tool. I discovered on the much loved Yeti just how many VAG parts are compatible!

RHD Aluminium Footrest
👍 Footrest shape and fitting is different! Pedals much easier if you warm up the new ones - hot water soak helps!

RHD Aluminium Footrest
For those of you with DSG and the AL pedals ( much cheaper on eBay!) I have successfully fitted the RHD AL footrest for the Mark 7 Golf - bit of a faff to fit, but it goes in eventually - see item 15400526889. £18.99 post free, came in 3 days via Coalville! For the AL pedal covers - try item 112551555557, EUR 19.00 + 6.90 postage from Germany, which is where I got mine from! Good hunting! e

Corroding wheels on Yeti
I had both sets of Annapurnas on my Yeti powder coated at 3 years, when I sold the car and wheels (separately) earlier this year , they were all in fine condition. Why manufacturers insist in foisting the 'diamond cut/lacquered' wheels on us I shall never understand = they are simply not fit for purpose here. The Crater rims on my current Karoq will be getting the same treatment as soon as Mr Whiteworm makes his inevitable visit!
