  1. Hi TheGreyKaroq, Antimus is correct here it was a back end issue on Skoda’s part, I had all but given up on ever getting connected then for some reason I thought I would try it one more time and after requesting a new registration code it connected and apparently had been up and running for a month or two, but no notification from Skoda Connect saying to try it again. they gave me a two month free trial to try it out and to be honest wasn’t very impressed with it, perhaps if it was a paid for version I might have gotten more features. I got sick of forgetting to connect my iPhone to the car every time I got in, and so had nothing unless I pulled over somewhere and went through the connection process, so after all the hassle and my trial period was us I decided not to purchase a years license. I suppose for anyone who does a lot of driving up and down the country it could be beneficial, but not for me.
  2. Hi czs13, Thanks for replying to my post, so it seems it was up and running 3 months ago, with the amount of people having connection problems they would have let us know, unless they didn’t want everyone trying to connect at the same time. I think in my case it is just a 3 month free trial so doesn’t really matter wether it started then or now. At least it is working now.
  3. Hi all, it’s been 6 months since I last posted on my no internet connection, to be honest I had given up on it all together. However today whilst browsing my phone apps I clicked on MySkoda App and up should pop is a new registration key giving me basic Apps until September this year free, so I thought what the hell I may as well try it, did take a few attempts mainly down to getting a good signal and re-connecting my phone. Can’t tell you how surprised I was when a message pops up saying “congratulations registration was successful “ Didn’t get an email off Skoda asking me to retry connecting, may have been available for months, so they must have been working on in the background, did take a very long time with lots of visits to dealership, but well done Skoda for finally sorting it. At least now I can test it out and see if it’s something I want to pay for once trial has run out.
  4. Had a call from the dealership today and an email from Skoda Connect, they have finally admitted they have a problem as others have the same problem as me (well we already knew that) and the technical team are looking for a solution but for now there is nothing more they can do but will get in touch when they have another update that will correct the problem. Not expecting them to get back to me any time soon then.
  5. Hi SurrySlowCoac, in reading your post it sounds like you had been using Skoda Connect but stopped working, if this is correct how long had you been using it for. sorry to hear you are now in the same boat as many, many more of us on hear all with no real help from Skoda.
  6. Hi Dan18, welcome Good luck with the dealership, they will blame anything but their own systems, my car has been looked by the dealership 4 times now all with the same result. I have as good as given up on it now but letting it run as long as they are willing to keep trying. Could the answer be to change the Amundsen unit and what ever acts as an antenna for the internet, don’t think there would be much Change out of £1000 so I can’t see that ever happening.
  7. Hi Everyone, been a while since I have updated my post, basically because I had nothing to report, well my car has been back into the dealership and had a software update installed as requested by the technical team at Skoda Connect, upgraded from 0475 to 0480 was done ok but still no internet connection and have yet again referred back to technical team 😤 unless they come up with something positive I may not bother anymore, see how long it takes them to get back to me.
  8. Hi amenzel I have had various times for the “no data link” to show up, I have found that I have to have a full strength 5g or 4g signal on my iPhone before I can get the enter registration screen up, once entered the no date link comes up instantly.
  9. Hi Cremtothemem, welcome I would be very interested to hear if they do solve it for you, but you are right not to raise your hopes very much. Definitely a problem with the software their end, not individual cars.
  10. Well today was the day I have been waiting for, having had my car booked into the dealership to see if they could connect it to the internet. After about an hour’s wait sat drinking coffee they came back to me saying they was unable to get it to connect (now there’s a surprise) and have no escalated the problem to Skoda technician team, been there already done that through Skoda Connect, the lady at the dealership said this is the first time she has seen this happen, told her about all the case’s on here all with the same problem. I did say I would give up on it if they failed today, but I will let things take there course now and see if the tech guys come up with any answers. Not expecting any answers any time soon though, but as ever I will keep you all informed.
  11. Looked into this data plug, as baseje321 said it is different to the system that should come with the car, paid for in the initial outlay of the car. If it was the brakes or steering or some other major part it would get fixed no questions asked, just because it’s a part of the infotainment system they don’t seem bothered with it, well they should we have paid for it after all. my car is booked into the dealership Friday 18th Feb, to see if they can get it connected, might have to show them all the comments on here of people all over Europe with the same problem (but not until they have tried) look for an update from me on Friday
  12. Doesn't look very promising at the moment with so many people having the same problem, my car is booked into dealership on the 18th Feb will let everyone know how we get on. Also had a reply from Skoda Connect apologising for the instructions they sent me (posted here earlier) they were for the more recent model, have now asked for photo's of screens that come up when trying to register, why the hell don't they just admit the problem is with their servers 😠
  13. Been going on for more than a few days, I have been trying to get a solution for at least 6 weeks. well done to get them to finally admit the problem is on their side.
  14. Hi MRobi & welcome I have just done some searching on what Perform CL.30 means, as far as I can make out it means removing fuses 19 & 30 from the fuse fuse board behind the dashboard, on my car there is no fuse 30 it is not in use, fuse 19 is for the Kessy system and removing it will reset the system. Pretty much the same as disconnecting the battery which you have already done. I have also called my service centre and asked them about it and was promised a call back, but not holding my breath i think they are a bit fed up of me now, and don't really have an answer for the problem. My fuse 19 is at the moment, if it works I will let you know. But not very hopeful.
