  1. Hi TheGreyKaroq, Antimus is correct here it was a back end issue on Skoda’s part, I had all but given up on ever getting connected then for some reason I thought I would try it one more time and after requesting a new registration code it connected and apparently had been up and running for a month or two, but no notification from Skoda Connect saying to try it again. they gave me a two month free trial to try it out and to be honest wasn’t very impressed with it, perhaps if it was a paid for version I might have gotten more features. I got sick of forgetting to connect my iPhone to the car every time I got in, and so had nothing unless I pulled over somewhere and went through the connection process, so after all the hassle and my trial period was us I decided not to purchase a years license. I suppose for anyone who does a lot of driving up and down the country it could be beneficial, but not for me.
  2. Hi czs13, Thanks for replying to my post, so it seems it was up and running 3 months ago, with the amount of people having connection problems they would have let us know, unless they didn’t want everyone trying to connect at the same time. I think in my case it is just a 3 month free trial so doesn’t really matter wether it started then or now. At least it is working now.
  3. Hi all, it’s been 6 months since I last posted on my no internet connection, to be honest I had given up on it all together. However today whilst browsing my phone apps I clicked on MySkoda App and up should pop is a new registration key giving me basic Apps until September this year free, so I thought what the hell I may as well try it, did take a few attempts mainly down to getting a good signal and re-connecting my phone. Can’t tell you how surprised I was when a message pops up saying “congratulations registration was successful “ Didn’t get an email off Skoda asking me to retry connecting, may have been available for months, so they must have been working on in the background, did take a very long time with lots of visits to dealership, but well done Skoda for finally sorting it. At least now I can test it out and see if it’s something I want to pay for once trial has run out.
  4. Had a call from the dealership today and an email from Skoda Connect, they have finally admitted they have a problem as others have the same problem as me (well we already knew that) and the technical team are looking for a solution but for now there is nothing more they can do but will get in touch when they have another update that will correct the problem. Not expecting them to get back to me any time soon then.
  5. Hi SurrySlowCoac, in reading your post it sounds like you had been using Skoda Connect but stopped working, if this is correct how long had you been using it for. sorry to hear you are now in the same boat as many, many more of us on hear all with no real help from Skoda.
  6. Hi Dan18, welcome Good luck with the dealership, they will blame anything but their own systems, my car has been looked by the dealership 4 times now all with the same result. I have as good as given up on it now but letting it run as long as they are willing to keep trying. Could the answer be to change the Amundsen unit and what ever acts as an antenna for the internet, don’t think there would be much Change out of £1000 so I can’t see that ever happening.
  7. Hi Everyone, been a while since I have updated my post, basically because I had nothing to report, well my car has been back into the dealership and had a software update installed as requested by the technical team at Skoda Connect, upgraded from 0475 to 0480 was done ok but still no internet connection and have yet again referred back to technical team 😤 unless they come up with something positive I may not bother anymore, see how long it takes them to get back to me.
  8. Hi amenzel I have had various times for the “no data link” to show up, I have found that I have to have a full strength 5g or 4g signal on my iPhone before I can get the enter registration screen up, once entered the no date link comes up instantly.
  9. Hi Cremtothemem, welcome I would be very interested to hear if they do solve it for you, but you are right not to raise your hopes very much. Definitely a problem with the software their end, not individual cars.
  10. Well today was the day I have been waiting for, having had my car booked into the dealership to see if they could connect it to the internet. After about an hour’s wait sat drinking coffee they came back to me saying they was unable to get it to connect (now there’s a surprise) and have no escalated the problem to Skoda technician team, been there already done that through Skoda Connect, the lady at the dealership said this is the first time she has seen this happen, told her about all the case’s on here all with the same problem. I did say I would give up on it if they failed today, but I will let things take there course now and see if the tech guys come up with any answers. Not expecting any answers any time soon though, but as ever I will keep you all informed.
  11. Looked into this data plug, as baseje321 said it is different to the system that should come with the car, paid for in the initial outlay of the car. If it was the brakes or steering or some other major part it would get fixed no questions asked, just because it’s a part of the infotainment system they don’t seem bothered with it, well they should we have paid for it after all. my car is booked into the dealership Friday 18th Feb, to see if they can get it connected, might have to show them all the comments on here of people all over Europe with the same problem (but not until they have tried) look for an update from me on Friday
  12. Doesn't look very promising at the moment with so many people having the same problem, my car is booked into dealership on the 18th Feb will let everyone know how we get on. Also had a reply from Skoda Connect apologising for the instructions they sent me (posted here earlier) they were for the more recent model, have now asked for photo's of screens that come up when trying to register, why the hell don't they just admit the problem is with their servers 😠
  13. Been going on for more than a few days, I have been trying to get a solution for at least 6 weeks. well done to get them to finally admit the problem is on their side.
  14. Hi MRobi & welcome I have just done some searching on what Perform CL.30 means, as far as I can make out it means removing fuses 19 & 30 from the fuse fuse board behind the dashboard, on my car there is no fuse 30 it is not in use, fuse 19 is for the Kessy system and removing it will reset the system. Pretty much the same as disconnecting the battery which you have already done. I have also called my service centre and asked them about it and was promised a call back, but not holding my breath i think they are a bit fed up of me now, and don't really have an answer for the problem. My fuse 19 is at the moment, if it works I will let you know. But not very hopeful.
  15. Thought it was about time for an update to my post, but sadly no solution. First off I agree with Pa_Ko this feature of Skoda Connect is something that is included in the price tag of the car and should work, if it doesn't they should fix it, I also think that it is a problem with the software on their side. After much toing and froing with Skoda Connect via email and by phone and a visit to my Skoda garage where they tried to get it to work but couldn't I finally got and email from SKODA connect giving me what I thought was going to fix it, here's what it said. “Dear customer, we apologize for inconvenience. We have removed all relations between your account and your vehicle. Now we kindly ask you to enrol your vehicle following these steps: 1. On the mobile device, open MySKODA Mobile application (make sure to have the latest version downloaded from the Store/Marketplace) 2. Log into the application with your email and password 3. In Garage, click on "Add vehicle" 4. Enter the VIN with camera or manually by entering valid VIN --- In the vehicle (vehicle should be turned on BUT not started) 5. In Menu, click on "User" 6. Add new User with same credentials as were used for log into the App 7. Once the User is loaded, you will be offered to Become a Main user 8. Confirm and do the 2-key owner verification 9. In case this offer is not present, kindly look for Become a Primary user in "User" settings manually After enrolment please retry your services. In case any service in not working kindly provide us new timestamps and sreenshot which will help us with our analysis.” I did all of this to the letter and guess what, it didn't work, same results as before, on they day I got this email my car was in for it's first major service so I sent these instructions over to them for them to try, yes you guessed it still no connection. Some of the instructions they gave me don't seem to apply to my model of Amundsen as in "In menu click on user and add new user" and "Confirm and do the 2-key verification" There is nowhere in menu where I can click on USER, I emailed them back a week ago now explaining this to them but as of yet I have had no reply. I have just about given up on getting this to work, it looks like they have too. If they do come up with a solution I will of course let you all know. One last thought before I go, does anyone know of anyone that actually has this load of rubbish working.
  16. Hi Annoying Pentium, never used Spotify so that’s something I couldn’t help you with. I know there are a few niggles but hope you are liking W11
  17. Hi OctaviaFirstEdit Nothing will be done regarding the assisted braking issue until more incidents are reported and starts to cause serious crashes and people killed, them maybe the will sit up and take notice. My car is booked in for a major service later this month, i will report my incidents to them and get it checked out but I already know what the answer will be, everything is fine. If Skoda Connect don't get back to me with a fix for the no internet connection I will get them to try that as well.
  18. Hi TheGreyKaroq, I will of course update this post if I get any answer or help from Skoda, sorry to hear you are having the same problem as me but at least I now know it’s not just me. As for your maps are you using the Skoda Update Portal and downloading to your pc first, I only chose the UK, Franc & Spain which is just under 7gb, the larger maps are a bit tricky to fit onto the SD card I believe. Another thing to consider is your internet speed and any data restrictions you may have, I’m on fibre and unlimited data so no problems there. Only just updated them this week, spotted the new maps whilst looking for firmware update.
  19. Hello Slugskoda, happy new year to you. I bought my Yeti new and had it about two & half years (and loved it very much) when I happened to call into our local Skoda dealer for something or other, and as you do you have a look at the cars in there, although I felt the automatic car that I was interested in was a bit too rich for me, but they did have a 6 month old demonstrator on the forecourt and ended up coming out having purchased a car 😃. The Yeti was good, but the Karoq is so much better. My Karoq is still under warranty so it should get sorted one way or another, I am sure it is something simple, well simple to them but not me, I consider myself above average with tech but for now this has me beat. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is a full factory reset on the car not just (connect) closing my Skoda Connect account and restarting everything, leaving that option as a last resort
  20. I have had this braking system activate twice on me this year in my 2019 Karoq, first time I was overtaking a parked car when the flashing red car and warning noise came on, never seen it before, wondered what the hell it was. The second time and more scary & dangerous was this summer driving back from holiday up the M5, we were in traffic jam situation with stop start so wasn’t going particularly fast and always keep well back from the car if front. The car in front braked to slow down and so did I when my car went into a full emergency stop, very scary when the brake pedal sinks to the floor from under your foot and the car behind me only just stopped in time. I have since gone into the settings and reduced the sensitivity, I do occasionally get the red car flash up but I can live with that rather than switch it off completely.
  21. Oh no here we go again I hear you all say as there are loads of posts on this subject but none of them answered my questions, so thought I would give it a go. I have a 2019 Karok which I purchased 6 months old so the Skoda Connect wasn’t registered to me and first user was removed. I have had the car 2 years now and must say I love it, but thought I would like to see what Skoda Connect is all about, on looking on the portal I opted for a free 1 month trial (glad I didn’t pay for 12 months at this stage) 4 days later I still have not been able to get it to work. Using my iPhones hotspot or my home WiFi gave me the same result with a screen showing online configuration wizard, checking online service information with a little wheel going round & round (forever) well at least half an hour was as long as I gave it. have tried going in through settings menu, deleting Skoda connect to start afresh and did actually get to a screen giving me a registration option (success I thought) but when clicked on took me to the online configuration wizard again 🤬 Yesterday whilst at my local gym I had a full strength 5g signal on my iPhone 12 and thought I would give it another go, phones hotspot connected no problem, got to the registration screen entered my new S-pin I got from the portal, then got a new screen I hadn’t seen before saying no data link available please try again, failed again. 🤬🤬 I have called my local Skoda dealer who said they would call me back when they have some information, no call back yet surprise surprise, I have also emailed Skoda Connect who did get back to me a couple of days later asking for more information & photos saying they would get their tech guys have a look, just a waiting game now I suppose. Another point to add the little red world on the screen has never gone white during any of the connection’s I have had. looking at my system information screen my hardware is H41 and my software is 0475, I have seen mention of software updated to H480, trying update software through Amundsen just says no updates available. sorry this is so long but I wanted to give as much information as I could, can anyone out there throw any light on this problem or for that matter is Skoda Connect worth all the hassle.
  22. The being able to create multiple desktops and easily switching between them is quite useful, making each one for different subjects, like personal, work and of course one for this forum.
  23. Well done soon in use, get to know all the tips & tweaks with and I am sure you will like it as much as I do
  24. Yes it does take a while, at least you can still use your computer whilst downloading, as you are. 👍
