Thanks a lot for your feedback. It is now clear to me that the specific wheels I was looking at will not fit Kodiaq although advertised as such - 225/50 R17 will definately be too small.

New Kodiaq owner here with a question regarding 17" rims for winter tyres I havent been able to find the answer for neither here or by googling.. Will 17" 5x112 7J ET45 fit a 2019 Kodiaq or not? It appears the standard size is ET40 or ET43, does this make any difference? Input is appreciated!
