17" 5x112 7J ET45 for 2019 Koidaq?

Featured Replies

New Kodiaq owner here with a question regarding 17" rims for winter tyres I havent been able to find the answer for neither here or by googling..

Will 17" 5x112 7J ET45 fit a 2019  Kodiaq or not? It appears the standard size is ET40 or ET43, does this make any difference?

Input is appreciated!

Standard 17" Kodiaq rims are 6.5Jx17 ET38 and 7Jx17 ET40, and are fitted with 215/65R17 tyres.

Standard 18" Kodiaq rims are 7Jx18 ET43, and are fitted with 235/55R18 tyres.

So by using an ET45 offset, you are pushing the centre of the tyre inwards by between 2mm and 7mm compared to the standard 17" and 18" rims.

Maybe consider using it with a non-standard 235/60R17 instead of the standard 215/65R17. This will mean that it's a similar tyre size to 235/55R18 and only 2mm different offset.

I don’t have a picture of the inside of my 6.5x17” Nanuq wheels to be exact with the ET, but here’s a table I found long ago when I bought them. And I’m using 215/65 tyres.

Ask Skoda customer services for a copy of the car's "Certificate of Conformity".  They're unique to the car and will list all the wheel and tyre combinations that were homologated for your car.  (Bottom left on the image below, for our car).

Thanks a lot for your feedback. It is now clear to me that the specific wheels I was looking at will not fit Kodiaq although advertised as such - 225/50 R17 will definately be too small.
