  1. @Vahids my understanding is that Android Auto and Apple Carplay each have their own SWaP code (see info on codes here), so yes it could be possible that Android Auto is enabled but Apple Carplay is not. You can check if you have the Carplay Swap code (00060800) enabled by turning on your infotainment system, press and hold the Menu button a few seconds, and then select 'Function Enabling codes', then 'Installed codes' and see if the carplay code is there. If it isn't there you could double check Carplay is supported by going into 'Supported Codes', which shows all codes that the system supports (regardless of whether they're actually enabled or not). If Carplay is supported but not enabled, you'd need to find a way to enable it (I haven't done this- try YouTube)
  2. Hi @pab567 I have the same system as the previous poster- are there updates available? Dziekuje.
  3. Hi all, new member with new Skoda. Just thought I'd post about how I eventually managed to get around this problem, as it caused me a few headaches and I wasn't able to find info elsewhere on this particular problem, so hopefully it can save somebody else a bunch of time and effort. Background- SmartLink+ active on the infotainment system (can use Android Auto fine), but car doesn't have Skoda Connect services (ie there's no item in settings for "Skoda Connect Online Services"). Installed SW train version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0456T Installed SW MU version: 0456 Part number: 5Q0035842C Software version: H29.204.38 STD2Plus EU The Problem- When adding car to MySkoda app, can't get SmartLink+ to activate and therefore the app wouldn't download any data or provide any info. Seems like this was due to my phone not having Mirrorlink, and MySkoda SmartLink+ activation not working with Android Auto (the help box in the app only mentions Mirrorlink). Solution- The fix was to install MySkoda on my partner's iPhone, login, and connect the phone to the car. This instantly activated SmartLink+ on her phone, and then once activated it also showed as activated on my android and worked fine (I just needed to log out and back in again). The Vehicle Status so far has only provided data on iPhone, but the Health Report now seems to work fine. Unanswered- At this point I'm just not sure whether Health Reports in the MySkoda app on my android will update when I connect to the car, or whether it will only do that when the iphone gets connected. At the end of the day it probably doesn't matter too much as we will both be regularly connecting to the car so I'll still have an up to date Health Report in my MySkoda app. However the fact that I don't have data under Vehicle Status in android suggests I'm only getting data synced from the server rathan than the app pulling data directly from the car. Anyway, Vehicle Status and Health Reports are no doubt pretty uninteresting compared with some of the other features available through Skoda Connect (and I'm guessing they don't tell me anything that the car display doesn't already), but hopefully this is useful to others who are similarly determined to at least get the damn thing working to see what it offers.
  4. I'm new to Skodas, but I've spent a lot of time fiddling with this stuff in setting up my Fabia. The second photo is simply showing all the Smartlink technologies available and you will see this screen BEFORE a phone has been connected- you can't actually select anything from this screen. The first photo is what you see AFTER you connect an android device, and it is here that you can select the connection technology you want to use. As it is an android device that has been connected, you don't have the option of selecting CarPlay. However Carplay is a feature of Smartlink so if you were to connect an Apple iphone you would be able to select Carplay. Short answer- you don't need to get anything enabled at the dealer; Carplay is already available, you just need to connect an iphone before you can use it.
  5. Hi there, new member based in Melbourne, Australia. Just bought a second hand 2017 Skoda Fabia wagon/combi. This forum popped up a lot when I was researching before we bought and obviously has a lot of good info. Looking forward to talking Skoda!
