Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Hi everyone, recently picked up a 2017 Octavia and just fine tuning a few bits on it. One item on my list is if the firmware is up to date on the ICE. I have already updated the maps, just checking the unit firmware itself now.

OBDeleven battery coding help please
I prefer to be in control of the car and what it’s doing. If I’m stopped for any length of time I will turn the engine off with the key (like waiting at a level crossing for a train). I think constant stop/start puts unnecessary strain on the engine/battery/starter. I have a very rural commute so it would be useless to be anyway as I never really stop moving much. My fuel economy is very good anyway as a result of refusing the EA189 emissions fix. I hear the so called fix makes them guzzle more fuel.

OBDeleven battery coding help please
Gosh no I don’t want start/stop. Mine is a full on emissions cheat still as well! 😂

OBDeleven help on Skoda Rapid
Hi everyone. Have any of you fellow Rapid owners purchased an OBDeleven coding tool? If so have you ever managed to get long coding and adaptions to work? All of the channels in every module on my Rapid hold no data, and the adaptions have nothing in either. It will read/erase codes, and I have managed to activate teardrop wipe, plus dial sweep using the apps. Just can’t seem to do anything else. Am I doing anything wrong? It’s a 1.6 CAYC 105 diesel in SE Sport spec (2015).

Rubbing nois on Skoda rapid sport
I am a former motor trade technician so still have all the gear. Although the ARB bushes require no press to remove/refit. You just need the wheels off the ground so that you can drop the bolts out (the driveshafts can block them otherwise). You could try some penetrating (WD40) spray to drive out any moisture, before spraying with a silicone based lubricant once dry. Don’t use oil or grease as it will degrade the rubber even more, hence why I use rubber safe Castrol red rubber grease on the bushes.

Rubbing nois on Skoda rapid sport
That’s what I did with mine, bush by bush, until I had found the culprit. It always seems to be my front left (UK nearside) ARB bush that gets creaky. To be completely sure I took the bush out rotated it and put it back in the opposite way round, which made it silent for quite a while until I bought some new ones. I think the problem seems to be the rubber goes hard over time. Thankfully new bushes and stretch bolts for the ARB are only about £20 or so.

Spaceback replacement of air blending motor .
I had a problem with mine making a clicking noise. Turns out the lower fixing was loose and preventing it from parking properly. I did look at removing/replacing it. The motor looks like it has 3 screw fixings holding a cage around it. It’s a tight squeeze but I think it is removable without having to dismantle too much. You just need the glovebox out of the way which is simple enough to do.

I forgot to say when replacing the ARB bushes stick some Castrol red rubber grease on them. It helps with making them last a bit longer.

Rubbing nois on Skoda rapid sport
I had that horrible creak on mine when going over bumps. It was cured when I replaced the anti roll bar bushes. It has started to return again recently after a couple of silent years, so this time I will be changing them for poly bushes.

Tailgate struts
Seems to be a weak point. When I purchased mine at 1 year old the only warranty items it had ever had was tailgate struts. I have to be careful with the tailgate so as not to slam it.

OBDeleven battery coding help please
Thanks Chris, so fit and forget on this one then. I read so much about coding them that it had me a tad confused as to weather mine should or not. It doesn’t have stop/start, which had me thinking it wouldn’t need it.

OBDeleven battery coding help please
Hi everyone, I know battery coding has been discussed before but I have struggled to find the answers to my particular problem (even in other VAG forums). I have an OBDeleven with pro subscription and have been unable to find anything to do with battery coding in my ‘19 Gateway’ adaptions. It just says request timeout and data not available (see screenshot). This is on a 2015 Rapid Spaceback SE Sport 1.6TDI(105). Anyone know what’s going wrong, or does this vehicle not require a new battery coding? Many thanks!
