  1. Hi, have you tried powering the wipers using a scanner such as VCDS, just a thought as you can monitor output from bcm etc and may find the fault that way.
  2. That's how my MAP sensor is so that is normal. I had a similar problem on my Rapid TSI 1.2 and it was the turbo actuator arm sticking. Easy job to lubricate it, you will see a steel rod going from inside the actuator to the exhaust manifold, I just gripped tat rod with a pair of mole grips and pulled it away from the actuator and the back in, working it like this in and out while spraying both ends with penetrating oil, I've had no problems since. Hope this helps.
  3. Don't the phone details only come up when your phone connects ? Why would you want to delete it ?
  4. Hi all, I have a February 2015 Rapid SE Sport Spaceback and the problem is after initially connecting my phone everything works perfectly including phonebook, call lists, missed calls and previous calls but later maybe next day even the only data which comes back on the car screen is the phone book, all the icons are there but nothing in there, i searched for this problem previously and the answer I found was to reset my network settings in my phone which is all very well but that operation removes all my wifi memory as well from the phone which is a Moto G8 power. That restores everything until the next time my phone connects. Has anyone come across this on any other Skoda, any help would be much appreciated as most of the time if I want to make a call I have get the phone book up and scroll through the list till I find the contact I need, not very convenient whilst driving. I looked at the Skoda software update portal but it only shows the Spaceback after May 2015 which must be when they updated the media unit from MIB1 to MIB2
  5. Hi, I don't think your front bulb has anything to do with your problems elsewhere but what I would do is remove the Climatronic control panel-just 2 screws after unclipping the plastic panel underneath it and two clips above it, unplug the wiring from the back of it and give the plugs and connections a spray with with contact cleaner-switch cleaner etc but don't use WD40 as people often suggest as it acts as an insulator rather than a contact enhancer. I retired four years ago after 49 years repairing vehicles the last 34 self employed and I have seen a lot of intermittent problems caused with poor connections, their is so little current flowing through these circuits that it takes very little to upset them. There is a workshop manual disc on Ebay which I bought, it is quite comprehensive but some of the info is for LHD only and there is no mention of steering and suspension on it but it is quite useful with good wiring diagrams etc.
  6. Hi, I've just been looking at Carista on the web as I haven't come across it before, can you see detailed data like temperatures of sensors and positioning of the the actuators etc and does it do adaptation-basic settings etc. ? I looked on Rosstech wiki with that engine ecu code you have, did you check the engine ecu and look at the data there ? http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01314
  7. Hi, sorry to see your still having problems, trouble is main dealers just throw new parts at these jobs-trial and error rather than test and repair which is how it should be done, it wants looking at by someone who knows what they are doing and who understands how the thing actually works rather than working off a flow chart which most of them seem to do nowadays. If you know anyone with a good scanner such as VCDS the data from all the sensors can be viewed to see what is happening at the time of the fault events. Were there any fault codes stored in the AC ecu ?
  8. Hi yes that seems like a lot especially when I priced it up with Skoda for genuine part they wanted £152.40 +vat. The part I got was the same make and part number as original as well. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393023136866?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 My car is a 2015 spaceback sport.
  9. It looks to me like the ecu can't decide where the actuator is so keeps moving it on again. I would monitor pin 2 yellow wire with either a scope or a graphing meter, I would think you will see a very erratic output from the wiper of the potentiometer. If you look at those captures of mine, from my previous post the first one is the faulty potentiometer of the hot-cold flap actuator. The other capture is the V71 air flow positioning flap actuator which is working correctly. I checked both these after removing the bracket that holds them in place and then powering them up on the bench. Both motors worked perfectly it was only the potentiometer of the hot-cold one which was was the problem. Hi CS45, if you are replacing the motor then you should solve it as the potentiometer is built into the motor. I got mine off Ebay £49.

  11. Hi, Thanks for your interest in this topic, I had already diagnosed the pot on this temperature flap control as being the culprit of my heating problem so what I was after was if anyone had actually renewed it without having to remove the dash panel. To cut a long story short I have ordered the new part cost £49 for a German made compatible compared to genuine Skoda £152+vat. 12. Hi all, Has anyone succeeded in replacing the the air blending flap control actuator without removing the complete crash pad ? MIne has gone faulty so I have managed to get it to the cold position and then disconnected it which is ok for the summer but I would like to renew it before the cold weather. It is situated up to the right of the passengers knees and is quite awkward to even see it never mind replace it. Any thoughts would be good. Thanks.
  13. Hi, was this a Spaceback and was one of the motors you removed for the temperature flap as my 2015 Spaceback is hot all the time now and when actuated with VCDS nothing changes in the data. I can can see the temp flap motor just up to the right of the passengers feet, did you remove this one ? thanks. Colin.
  14. HI there, I have just had a similar problem with my 2105 1.2 tsi spaceback, epc light on then engine light on with serious loss of power. When checking with VCDS there were trouble codes stored for turbo actuator mechanical problem 11824 p334b 10 - 11826 p334 036. The actuator is attached with two 10mm spanner fitting nuts, I removed these which enabled me to draw the actuator back which then allowed me to work the rod in and out far enough to lubricate it and free it off, I refitted the nuts and cleared the codes from the ecu then road tested with no further problems yet. This was only yesterday morning and it was really cold working outside on it so I didn't spend too much time but will monitor it and see what happens. I am a retired mechanic after 49 years on the job but this could be easily done by anyone that can use a spanner.
