Skoda Octavia IV pictures thread
This lovely lady was delivered today, she’s getting the full ceramic treatment tomorrow but couldn’t help but show her off. Very excited to have a big fast Estate car.

Delivery times?
Just to confirm, there is stock of Octavias in the UK at least. Today I received my VRS Estate which came into stock last week, and I managed to grab two weeks ago. I had an order in initially for July, then moved to November and now has no date due to delays. At the same time one become available in stock at my dealer so I went for it. Missing some options, but I’m just glad to have the car I wanted. When I was in the garage a few weeks ago discussing with my dealer he showed me the stock ‘drop’ they received and it had many Octavia Hatch and Estates available to buy. Most of them were SE L models.

I’m coming from an M135i to the Octavia VRS Estate for space reasons due to a new family member. My wife and I both had new style 1 series and thought they would be plenty big but the boot space in the BMW was next to useless for pram wheels plus anything else. Maybe the wheels are too big but we have to fill the back seats if we go shopping with the baby. As soon as I tested the pram in the VRS I knew I needed one due to its endless amounts of space. I loved the M135i but the VRS ticks all the boxes for me to cover family life and still be able to have some fun.

Bonnet Emblem
Thanks a lot for the pictures, glad to see a clear image showing the logo being two seperate parts it seems ratehr than ones that clamp in behind the grille. Do you know if the VRS logo size on the front is different to the one on the rear?

Bonnet Emblem
Is the front emblem 90mm as that seems to be the most common size available on eBay? The size isn't mentioned on kopacek website but they say they use a genuine OEM part painted correctly. Also has anyone changed the chrome VRS logo on the grille into a black one? Kopacek has them as well although they onyl seem to have 'glowing' red and have to be fitted from the back of the grille.

Delivery times?
Not that this helps with Delivery Times, but my dealer contacted me to let me know by chance there was a Blue DSG VRS Estate coming into their stock in March and is currently in the UK port. Swiftly changed my order over and got a minor discount as it doesn’t have the options I wanted on it, as I don’t want to risk waiting until late 2022 or even 2023 for a new car. Losing the Dynamic Chassis - which was the only option I really wanted - the front Winter Pack and Rear View Camera but they aren’t options I’ve had on cars before so not like I will miss them. Overall I got lucky, and would suggest anyone waiting to get their dealers to keep an eye out on stock cars. Due to pick it up next weekend.

Delivery times?
Been informed today my VRS Estate - I ordered 2 weeks ago - Week 19 build (June 22) has been pushed back to Week 40 (November 22) and that VRS Hatchbacks have been pushed back to 52+ Weeks. I spoke with another dealer about in stock ‘drops‘ but there are not many VRS models due to the SE L being more popular and makes them more money. Stocks are only made available on the day of the ‘drop’ so can’t guarantee any models or options etc. I am currently car-less as I sold mine to take advantage if the higher used rates. I now can’t justify not having a car for the year rather than 3 months the dealer suggested.

Octavia iV reversing camera retrofit service!
I’m looking at purchasing a VRS estate that has all the options I want in it except the reversing camera. Is this just a simple install and uses the actual OEM display on the screen when it is active?

Delivery times?
This was my concern, after hearing about the fire. Hopefully the dealer can give me an update today. When I ordered the car he told me how Skoda is prioritising build slots, the impression I got is anything EV/IV was first, then the VRS models, then petrol engines then diesel. He said VRS models usually get pushed through quite quickly. Just don’t want to have no car for 12 months otherwise I’d have to reconsider my options.

Delivery times?
Are these delays really true? I ordered a new Skoda just last week, was given a date of 14th June 2022 for delivery. Was kind of expecting a slight delay or even it being brought forward if lucky. I’ve just emailed my dealer to ask for an update as I am selling my old car today - to take advantage of the higher used car prices - but if my Octavia is going to be delayed by many more months I can’t get rid of the car for that long. The dealer was very optimistic about delivery dates and said Skoda were catching up with a lot of orders recently as well.
