Hi guys! Newbie here, also not native speaker, so bare with me please😃 I have Skoda Octavia mk3 combi, year 2013. My electric tailgate stopped working completely about a month ago. I disassembled the boot trim, looked at the wires and measured for shortage or lower resistance but everything seems fine. I also took the struts out and tried to power them with external source. They were spinning. Which I’m not sure is good, but I guess so? Or at least it means that the board and electronics inside are working? When I press the button for opening the boot, I can hear something clicking on the left side of boot, around the place of boot light, but not on the right side. I also tried to scan it with Obdeleven. Scan showed multiple errors among which were “open circuit/“ on both of the motors. So, my question is.. Do you think I should try to uncover the side boot trim and look at the cables, or the problem can be in struts (even though they are spinning). I could try to disassemble them and look if the little springs inside are broken, or if it’s corroded. Have any of you had this problem? If so, did you manage to solve it? I have read many forums about this problems, but almost all of them were about struts sometimes not working, or working, but not opening fully. Sorry if this is duplicate, I’ll be glad if someone points me into right thread, where this problem was somehow solved. Thanks, Martin.
