  1. Wow those look terrible. Sure mine needs doing but I can’t face it just yet!
  2. Late update as I only collected the car this weekend. Filled it up with 97 Ron BP Ultimate on the way home and it flew so I suspect it was just old supermarket fuel that made it feel lazy on the test drive.
  3. Cheers. Reading around, I think I will fit a new diverter valve as it’s seems likely the existing one will have perished by now and be leaking boost. Hopefully that will improve performance a bit.
  4. Just left a deposit on an 07 VRS TFSi. Full dealer history, clearly looked after. Drove fine, nothing untoward but didn’t feel massively quick. Looking at the speedo it was piling on speed, but it all felt fairly linear rather than pin-you-in-your-seat lumps of torque. I’ve been driving an MX5 for the last month, which while far from quick is pretty much instant response so my calibration may be off. I suspect it will have a certain amount for carbon buildup on the intake valves at this age so no doubt a bit of power will be down, I’ll be getting them cleaned once I’ve put a few miles on.
