  1. Hi, I have the dreaded 'Brake Pad Wear' caution light flashing up intermittently. Light On for 5 secs, Light off for 10 seconds. Happens 3 times then disappears for 10-15 minutes. It can happen on the motorway at 70mph. It’s not the pad sensor as we have slaved another pad in. The garage thinks it’s the cable but if it was wouldn’t it become intermittent. The light comes on so regular I’m beginning to think it’s the ECU……..wherever that is?. What does everyone else think. Martin. Mk2 Superb 2013. 2.0 Diesel 170.
  2. Hi all. I have the dreaded pad wear warning light flashing periodically. I assume there is only one sensor on the NSF wheel. I have attached another NEW brake pad but the light still persists. I can’t see anything wrong with the harness. It’s a 2013, 2.0 170hp automatic estate. Vin Any one have any ideas on what is causing this anomaly or if the dreaded light is telling me something else is wrong?. It’s a 2013, 2.0 170hp automatic estate. 3. Thank you, Cant believe that someone can design a gearbox that requires such a complicated oil change procedure………oil temp at 35°C. In Queensland a standard summers day is 40°C. . How do I cycle through the tears during oil change……it’s automatic. martin
  4. Thank you, I was hoping to fill from the top. Our local Skoda dealer closed their skoda dept and now I would have to go into the city to a dealer. Is Diagnostic equipment 100% necessary. Might have to scour the local independents.
  5. Just been looking for a change kit, would this kit be suitable. Concerned about the filter really. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173309103184 or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151517937881
  6. I got it 6 months old, but I worked away for lots of those years. Car was laid up for at least 50% of the time !.
  7. Many thanks Chimaera, much appreciated. martin
  8. Many thanks for your reply Ken. Looks that way, wondering what the oil actually does to the gearbox to cause this fault. Dirty sensor ?. martin
  9. Hi, my vehicle is a low mileage car, it’s just reaching 40k at the moment, so will be due the oil change. martin
  10. Hi all MY Superb II has started to play up, its getting into the habit of not changing up a gear. It can happen when I move off or when I am driving down the street after turning a corner. The engine is screaming until I change up with the paddles, normally it’s 2nd or 3rd gear and the engine is warm Is there a sensor that could be playing up/suspect. thanks all Martin
