  1. I haven’t yet, not got round to trying one of the 19s in the boot. With the space saver did you get the correct foam insert? Surely it shouldn’t cause the boot floor to sag?
  2. I just paid £200 for the freshly refurbed pair so I’m not sure £140 is a bargain for one with a few marks?
  3. BHN1142E is left BHN1143E is right These are the part numbers for TRW aftermarket which are refurbed to new spec with a 2yr warranty. £93 from Autodoc
  4. That’s what I’m thinking. I saw it done by another member on a grey car and it looks great
  5. That’s my thinking as well. I’ve just ordered one of these, think it will look much better.
  6. What do you guys think? Before and after shots attached.
  7. Ah OK, cheers. Maybe back to the drawing board!
  8. Thanks for that! The tyres are 225/35/19 though. Guess I’m just going to have to test it.
  9. Before I go and remove a wheel to test, will a full size 19” with tyre fit completely in the spare wheel well of an estate with the boot carpet fitting as usual etc?
  10. Just back from a 180 mile journey this afternoon. Average speed was 55mph, got up to around 85mph at times. OBC shows 45.5mpg. Didn’t have chance to fill up first otherwise it would’ve made a good brim-to-brim test.
  11. Sounds like a reasonable price, certainly cheaper than the equivalent on Autotrader.
  12. A pleasure to deal with, thanks again!
  13. Many thanks for a pleasant and easy transaction!
  14. Our recently acquired vRS TDI has pretty poor economy. Mid 40s on a run according to the OBC and 38mpg over the last 420 miles calculated.
  15. Hi, I did IM you about these. Are they still available?
  16. Good question! It’s more the fact that it won’t work which is annoying me. I’ve been trying now for a couple of weeks.
  17. I sometimes get to enter a code but then get this error. There is obviously a wider problem somewhere.
  18. I’m having the exact same issue. I’ve tried everything to get it to work up to and including disconnecting the battery for 90 mins and 3 different Wi-Fi networks.
  19. That’s a big no on an Octavia, it simply won’t work. 🤯
  20. I hadn’t even contemplated that there might be universal ones out there but there are indeed self-adhesive cut to size ones readily available .
  21. Looking at potential brake upgrades, in particular the VRS TSI 340mm set up. Looking at Ferodo DS2500 pads and they state that they don’t include the anti rattle shims and to use the ones from the standard pads. I know they’re not essential but I’m wondering if they’re available separately? Drawn a blank with Google! Many thanks!
  22. Thanks very much! Just what I needed!
  23. Hopefully a quick one! On a FL vRS with the black pack, what colour is the grille etc? Is it Crystal Black? Many thanks!
  24. The Candy’s quite a bit warmer isn’t it.
  25. My favourite is Meguiars tyre gel, but it is quite glossy. Lasts well though and the gloss does die down.
