Noticed the white globe had appeared on mine yesterday, was able to complete the registration. Now to wait and see how long it stays active…

Hi, new to the forum but wanted to share that I'm also having the same issue on my 2018 Octavia vrs, owned for a couple of months now and its never been able to connect (despite hotspot connection to my phone and having a good 4g signal) - it's in at the local dealership in a couple of weeks so planning to bring it up with them and see what they say, will let you know.
