  1. My 2009 FL came with Xenon but no autolights. Fantastic write up though.Proper top banana
  2. Well turns out after going on the 2 poster that the well rated fabricator actually didn't fit a rear Lambda sensor to the exhaust..And removed the sensor wiring.... Some fecking highly rated outfit that is. "Bring it back we will sort it ..no fecking **** you will Sherlock" All the diagnostic issues are caused by remapping with my Blufin and takes 5 to 10 cycles to clear themselves. Superchips support as been excellent during this problem with one to support by someone that actually knows what there talking about.. Even offer to wind the boost down on my stage 2 map slightly but advised me to find the problem instead of losing power.
  3. As the title says I'm looking to get my car custom mapped preferably on a RR but open to other channels. Anyone had it done ?
  4. Today my life's got even worse. Now im struggling to clear fault codes and VC keeps hanging due to a ECU error on several modules after removing the battery terminal for a hour.FFS Looking at the log.It is clear to see the misfiring but im more concerned to wtf is the boost doing ..confused.com Coincidentally there was no misfiring on the standard map or if there was I didn't notice it driving or VC didn't detect any. I've emailed Superchips to try my previous stage 2 map(i asked for a slightly more aggressive map after a few week) and also if i can try the stage 1 map. so i will update when I have the results. I never had any issues with Superchips in the last 25 years of using them from my RS turbo to my 2nd VRS so I don't need the Bluefins mapping **** brigade piping in. Stage 2 has been on my car faultlessly for 4 year. (even the wife loves it) previous to that stage 1 for 3 year (its good just missing that " **** this is really quick") but ive done 161mph on it. both faultless IMHO for a 40+ year old. if any company out there thinks their generic maps are better prove it. LOG-01-115-014-015.CSV
  5. 1 month old pal ..bosch iridium Nothing coming up on misfire monitoring on any cylinder on VCDS. Old plugs was in good nick one was slightly lighter (lean) but not a drama. Bosch OE coilpacks cannot remember the revision off the top of my head. Replaced all 4 about 2 year ago from TPS.
  6. Going to do some logging tomorrow pal. Car was fine until the exhaust was changed the car is noticeably more powerful because it now loses traction in 3rd spooling up on full throttle which it didn't with the standard exhaust with the cat removed .. Once it gets up to 4.5k on full throttle it starts misfiring.if I slowly accelerate it is fine all the way to the rev limiter. I'm pretty sure it will be a airflow issue.I think a carbon clean out of the intake is well over due tbh but I don't believe it's related to this issue.. Regards
  7. Hi all I'm having a bit of a drama with my Stage 2 TSI VRS FL. It's just been in for a turbo back custom stainless full system with 200cel from a well respected fabricator. Beforehand... I've been running on Stage 2 Bluefin with main cat removed (pre cat still in place and it still passed MOT emissions lol) Ramair air filter in the oe airbox. And all was well. Since the exhaust fitting the car is much more responsive low down but when I get up to 4.5k to 5k on full throttle it starts missing /sputtering. If I put it back to standard map it's fine. I'm not getting any fault codes up on VCDS on both maps.. Conculsions .. I'm thinking maybe The extra bit of exhaust flow Boost creep. How goods the wastegate standards on these things ? Checking through measuring blocks on VCDS i noticed that specified boost was 360 and actual boost was 1088 idling which I though a bit strange. I'm just wondering if anyone else with a turbo back system came across any issues similar.
  8. Good luck finding a full VRS leather took me 4 year lol. L&K seats are electric so you wouldn't have the correct loom, coding etc etc to make it viable. Reupholster probably £1k plus
  9. No album art sorry .had mine 7 year and fiddled to death with most things including coding.. You can code it for voice activation And remove VIM lock so you could watch dvds at 70mph (not legal of course ) And put speed cameras on the map About as Good as it gets really Unless someone knows better
  10. Tiger seal pal, mines been solid for a year (best to key both diffuser and mating surface with 400 wet and dry were it sits for a extra good bond.
  11. Top of headlights are a white plastic hole takes a large Allen key.one at the side of the headlight dies right and left. one at the back does up down ..park in front of a garage or wall to play.
  12. sorry for bumping this thread I have got a 2009 FL and I am in the same boat i have to flick the full beam stalk to with the headlight switched on to activate roughly 10 seconds of coming home lights when i open the door. i have ticked all the coming home/leaving options and still no joy. I don't have auto-light switch, i just want it to light up when i lock it and unlock it like the 62 plate Yeti next door, everyone's coding and the one in the video seems different to mine. i have scratched my napper bald and now resemble a monk.
  13. sorted it ...dont know how but i went out to car to get a vdcs log to post on here and its booted up.. thank the lord amen.
  14. Hi folks Hoping to get some info my cars been stood unexpectedly for a while due to a recent operation .Anyhow when i fitted a new battery and cleared all the faults on the car with vdcs (due to been cranked over with no power mi thinks ) all faults cleared except all relating to columbus i.e nav radio telephone and gateway error relating to the radio. The columbus itself is making a clicking noise when i get in either with ignition on or off and does nothing, the screen just stays blank. I had this before when the battery went flat previously so i just took off the battery lead for 30 mins and it sorted itself out but unfortunalty this time its not working. All the usual fuses including the one at the back of the unit checked i have a firmware cd i updated to a few years back to try reload the firmware but its got a midget porno in the drive which would be rather embarrassing at any forthcoming repair shop.. can anybody suggest a plan of troubleshooting or a repairer ? many thanks
