  1. Where the lock goes through a little plastic spring loaded door as you close the tailgate water can get in apparently, WD40 is the most obvious choice but others disagree.
  2. Mine was in for a minor problem and the dealer kindly removed my re-map, luckily the nice chap from chipboost sorted it for £20, I am sure the service manager did it out of spite as he was smirking when I went to pick the car up. (But I could just be paranoid).
  3. You will struggle to find anyone who is not 100% happy with Chipboost; you can always pay him double if it is too cheap.
  4. I have had the 14mm fix and then fitted the 9mm and had a remap at Chipboost with no problems at all and no warning lights have appeared, the car runs nice and smooth which is more down to the remap I would think, the 14mm fix cured my stutter but I fitted the 9mm anyway as this made the tick over less lumpy.
  5. I have had the 9mm gasket in for a few Months now with no warning lights except the ones to put winscreen water and Fuel in.
  6. I have just seen the a red Fabia with 2 white stripes down the middle, It was the Saddest thing I have witnessed since seeing seeing my dead Father on a hospice bed. It was in Stockton-On-Tees and my wife was a witness it has really spoilt my weekend but I guess it had to happen one day. so please be aware if you are in the North East.
  7. Ahh you use your car for a driving school. That is such a stress full job hats off to you, 75k in a driving school car is worth double in a normal car so your vRS has been brilliant.
  8. 75k in 18 months is amazing! what do you do for a living? not many taxis do that sort of milage per year.
  9. I Just took mine off , they make no difference to the seats as far as i know.
  10. Mary Mother Of Jesus! I hope it was a miss sighting.
  11. A torx bit and a ratchet is easier than an Allen key, you can get a lot more torque on the bolts and it usually means less skin off the knuckles.
  12. The octavia has a massive boot, big enough to sleep in if you don't want to pay for a hotel room and the Fabia is a lot more compact but still has a fair bit of space for its size and good build quality, The new Octavia is like a Rolls Royse compared to a French car of the same size.
  13. My dealer said we cannot fit the gasket from the earlier models but there is nothing to stop you doing it (Wink Wink). I have had a service done since I fitted the smaller diametre one and no problems, If I had a warranty claim I would swop back before taking the car in just in case.
  14. I can reccomend Chipboost, it is a generic remap but is perfect as it makes the motor smoother and 170 is enough for me, I have done 5000 miles since fitting and no problems at all, Just south of Scarborough and
