2nd Key fob not recognising user
Octavia iv SEL 1st Edition My wife's key fob is not being automatically linked to her account on the Infotainment system. It's worked in the past without fault, but now when she gets into the car and turns the ignition on. It simply brings up the Skoda login screen. The wierd thing is, if she turns the ignition off, then turns it back on again, it seems to find her and resets the seat/mirrors etc. to her liking. Anyone else had this problem? Would it help if I deleted her as another user and then simply re-enter her details as a new user? And how wouid I actually do that?

Missing clock on Dashboard
Had the final decision from Skoda today after the car spent some days in the garage, trying to find the reason why the clock wasn't there. Skoda Technical maintain that it was a company decision "not to fit a clock". This I find hard to believe, especially when all other models, both new and old have one. I can only believe that they knew there was a fault, but probably due to time constraints with the1st Edition, deciding to fit it anyway, hoping no one notices its missing... The only good side to this is that they offered me the chance to try an "unofficial fix" that might sort the long standig Miles/Yards issue most of us had with the Satnav, as well a possible fix for the clock. Happily the Satnav issue has now been resolved, but not the clock.

How do I Unpin a topic ?
Apologies, I've always thought that it was pinned by a mistake made by myself. Is there any specific reason that you also see the same post as I do at the top?

How do I Unpin a topic ?
Many thanks Toot. It's only an annoyance because the pinned topic is always on top of the list of topics, under the Octavia Mk 4 heading.

How do I Unpin a topic ?
Probably not the right place to ask this, but. Somehow I have managed to pin an old topic, which now shows a little pin icon in the top left hand corner. I've looked for help on this site but can't find anything on how to remove it. Any advice welcome.

Mk4 Estate electric boot
Thanks for your reply Bial. I was thinking that it was something to do with the tailgate sticking to the seals, as it seems to be worse when the weather is hot. I'll look out for something to ensure the seals don't stick. 🤔

Mk4 Estate electric boot
I also have problems with my 20 plate SEL Estate. If I use the release catch on the driver's door, it opens fully everytime. But if I use my foot under the rear bumper, it very rarely opens fully. It usually just un-latches and stays there. To get it to fully open, I usually have to swing my foot under again. All very frustrating. I did report it when it went in for a service, and it did work correctly when I tested it on the forecourt afterwards. So thought it was fixed. But it didn't take long for it to return to a fault again. It's almost as if it sticks on the rubber seal and doesn't have enough energy to fully open...

Missing clock on Dashboard
Just for clarity, the image is not of my own vehicle, it was from someone else's post on a different topic. I used the same image to show the Service manager what I wanted. I also asked if it was possible to show the speed limit icon on the VC as well. But reading further into the topic, it seems this is only available if you have Travel Assist as well. Which I don't have....

Missing clock on Dashboard
As an owner of the same model, thanks for the feedback sneal. It may well be that something needs to be replaced to get a clock to display on the dash where it's visible. Although I'm not sure what a VC unit is exactly. 😉

Missing clock on Dashboard
I'm on 1896, but it has been missing from the time of purchase. After my last service a month ago, I mentioned it to the service manager. He was as stumped as to why it was missing, as all other Octavia's on the forecourt had a clock showing. He did offer to get in touch with Skoda, but haven't heard back from him yet.

Missing clock on Dashboard
I purchased my ex-demo Octavia iv Estate Special Edition 2.0 SE L First Edition in Nov 20. It was 1st Registered 07/20. Unlike all my previous Octavia’s, I’ve noticed that there is no time clock on my dashboard. The only clock I have is along the bottom of the Infotainment screen, which is very hard to find, especially when you’re driving. All the dashboard images I’ve seen on other posts, seem to show a digital time clock across the top of the dashboard. So my question is: Is this standard for this model, or should it be there?
