  1. It will open the boot, (even if locked) so long as you have your keys with you. I.e. in your pocket The middle button is usedto open the boot, even if away from the car. So long as you're within range of the cars sensor it will open. Personally, I've managed to open my boot within around 15-20m. Good luck.
  2. It took me a while to understand what you needed to do, just don't wave your leg around. As that won't work. Just imagine you are simply drop kicking a ball. Good luck
  3. Have a look at this video. I think it explains the problem you may have and how to fix it 😘 https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&si=4zFIP0JndpT7hTB7&v=5H8nFH-IOUs&feature=youtu.be
  4. Is this the same red cross you're asking about ? https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/535232-what-does-this-small-red-cross-indicate/#comment-5970889
  5. Exactly that it appears. I just never saw the red cross until recently.
  6. So, as BeaverRS suggested earlier, the red cross only appears when there is no cell/ mobile signal. By choice, i have my phone info selected to show on the VC, which indicates which phone is active along with the signal strength. For some reason I don't receive a signal in some areas. Hence the red cross. But I've also noticed that I need to take my phone out of my trouser pocket, if I do the signal returns and the red cross dissappears !! Who knew !
  7. For the last few months I've noticed that as I drive, I'm noticing this small Red cross appearing in the Info tile. It's not there most of the time, it just comes and goes occasionally. I'm assuming it's something to do with a loss of Data signal, but the globe remains White throughout. I've looked through the manual and online, but it doesn't appear anywhere. Has anyone got an idea of what it indicates?
  8. When in queuing traffic and with the ACC in operation, I find that the radar only stays in operation for approx 10 secs. If the vehicle in front hasn't moved away by then, you can simply reactivate the ACC (radar) by either tapping the gas pedal or activating the ACC stalk again.
  9. According to my records, the Rear Wiper fuse is number 66. I would try looking at that first. Good luck.
  10. 2020 2.0 TDI 150 SE L First Edition. Finally took the decision to update my software from 1941 to 1985. Wasn't sure if my existing hardware would allow it, but it all went OK. Apart from a squeaky bum time as it took an age (5-6min) to finally update the CPU. I had the ignition on but engine off and also had the bonnet up. So an excuse to top up the Windscreen washer bottle. Despite it being a simple process, thanks to all for giving me the confidence to take this on and the steps required.
  11. Thanks SkOmk4, I think you've cracked it. I must admit I've heard the beep, but never joined up the dots. Too frustrated with it. Makes sense now you mention it. Another " Durrr " moment... ;-)
  12. I've commented on this system before and how to operate it correctly, in another thread. My issue is that when using the release catch on the drivers door, it releases the catch and fully lifts the tailgate 100% of the time. Unfortunately when I use the "Easy Open" method, (i.e. with my hands are full) using my foot under the bumper, it only seems to open fully around 30% of the time. All it does is release the catch, but no lift. I could understand it if I haven't opened it for a while and a little sticky due to the weather being too hot or cold, but it's happening too often now in normal conditions. I've tried cleaning the rubber seal and applying a very light dusting of talcum powder (no French chalk) to no avail. Has anyone else had this issue and/or any ideas on how to resolve it?
  13. Forgot to mention, I have have a 2020 SE L but have extended my warranty.
  14. I'm having my heat shield replaced in the next few days under the recall. Can anyone confirm if version 1969 is now being updated as a matter of course by the dealers. Or do you have to ask for it ?
  15. Excellent explanation of the situation and, how to fix it.
  16. I had a similar issue after installing a new battery in my main keyfob. The mechanical key wouldn't stay inside. Very frustrating... It wasn't until I opened my spare keyfob and looked for a difference in position, did I notice that the little spring wasn't sitting correctly inside. With the cover off, you just have to ensure the spring is sitting flat on the plastic guides inside and allows the key to ride in and out without drag. I.e. not twisted. Hope this helps.
  17. Agreed, most annoying when screen not very wet. I managed to turn mine off using the following settings route. Hope this helps.
  18. Hope this helps.
  19. Agree with previous response. They're positioned too low for my liking. Unless set to push the air up near vertically, they just become a constant cold draught....
  20. By trial and error, I found out that if simply stand about 30-40cm (or around 1 foot) away from the rear bumper and imitate a straight kick underneath, along the centre line, it usually works. I now work on the premise that as long as I can just see the front of my ankle it'll open. Waving your foot around i.e. left or right, just doesn't work. My problem was that although it tried to open and did unlock, it didn't seem to have the energy to lift the tailgate. This was remedied by cleaning the seals. Hope this helps.
  21. The only thing that I've got to add to my original post, is that when it was asking for the wife's login details, I simply used my own account details, as the Primary User. Despite me creating her own Skoda Connect account. I just made sure my main account was "activated" in the app. Since then, we've have had no further issues. The seat are now moving to the correct position, along with the settings for both of us. So long as you lock the car with the correct key fob. Hope this helps.
  22. Hi Craigster, I too have a similar model to yourself. I park it on my drive, which has a slight incline towards the front of the car. When I park up, I usually just select Park (which brings the auto hold on) and simply get out of the car. But like you exexperiencewhen the car the next day, the same faults appear on the dash. Fortunately, these always disappear when I start to reverse off the drive. In summary, it's just another annoyance with this model and have learnt to live with it......
  23. Just wondering if the fact that "her indoors" uses her own Skoda Connect account details makes a difference. Should I be adding her (and her keyfob) as a guest to me as the main user, or stick with trying to use her own account settings?
