I use ArmorAll Leather Wipes. Very convenient and leave the seats looking really nice and feeling really soft.

Er water runs downhill
Ho, ho, ho... 'tis the season to be jolly!
Doesn't answer the question though - I understand how the water runs down, but everything in between the broken joint and the footwell is bone dry with no sign of having had any fluid near it.
-
Thanks Jim. Any ideas as to how the water gets down to the footwell from there?
-
Its under the trim running up the side of the passenger rear seat, can't remember if theres a silly plastic screw or it just pulls off, but theres definitely a join or 2 along there !
Thanks, I think I just located it right up alongside the rear headrest. The joint had come apart. What I can't understand is how all the water is in the footwell, when the leak was right up by the headrest, yet everything in between seems to be dry. :S

Hoovering out my car this afternoon, I discovered the near side rear footwell was saturated with windscreen washer fluid. Obviously there is a leak in the tube, but I cannot find the tube at all. Have got the carpet up and have removed the plastic trim by the door, but all I can see is a bunch of cables, but no tube. Can someone help me to locate it please?

I've fitted them all except for the B pillar trims. They're all dead eady to fit.

Can't believe the vRS ones went for £446! Mental!
Congrats, Big A. Enjoy!

Would you be willing to post a How-to for this? for those of us who have purchased, but don't know exactly what's what
I'll try and put one together when I get a minute.
-
Cheers mate. I'm well happy with them. Probably adds a little bit of value to the car too, given the minimal outlay. Well worth all the effort and skin I lost off my hands!

£15 for a Haynes Manual. All the jobs you list are relatively simple DIY tasks.

Here's another pic of mine now that I've done the door cards and the leather has tightened on the seat.

Looks good, but I think if my car was black, I would go the whole hog and get gloss black wheels done.

I have to ask, Clarkie... why was your advert for the car written as though you were a 14 year old typing it on a Nokia N-Gage, when having read your recent posts, it appears you are an intelligent chap with a good command of spelling and grammar? Sorry for the 'retard' comment, by the way, but hopefully it will have helped you, as that is the impression your advert was giving.

Was thinking the same thing
Well done. Maybe you're psychic? :rainfro:
-
so your just a helpless ***** then...
That's me, mate. :holmes:

Whats the point in that comment?!
:singer: All the guy wants is some sort of positive advice not some smart arsed comment that you should really keep to yourself! Im sure you wouldnt want the same when you post up a thread for some advice???????? thought not :singer:
Wouldn't give a sh!te to be honest, but then I am a grown up, and tend to take things people say to me on the internet with a pinch of salt. :parrot:

Anyoine know where you can get Burberry check spray paint, as I want to spray my car.

I thought all the 1.4 16v Fabias had rear disc brakes?
-
There is a slot underneath the handle. You stick a screwdriver blade into it and then pull in the direction of the dashboard.
You may run into a complication, in that some of the Fabias had a straight handbrake, whereas some of them had one with a kink in. You have no way of telling which you have until you get the cover off, but the vRS cover you have may or may not fit. I hope it does. Good luck.

I feel I speak for us all when I say "Never buy a car from such a blatant retard".

I have the Pirelli P-Zero Nero. They are really good, quiet, long lasting, grippy and about £70 a corner from my local tyre man. Support your local businesses!

...this morning, when turning into my road, suddenly the car started juddering, lacked power, and then spluttered almost to a standstill. Engine management light started flashing like mad, and I immediately started fearing the worst - just been paid, and was suddenly expecting to lose half my month's money in fixing the car.
The AA came out, the guy started the car and said "I bet it's a coil".
Sure enough, he hooked up VAG-COM and one of the coils had failed. He had one in the van, and fitted it for £30.
To say I was relieved is an understatement. Thank you, AA!

I like them so much that I bid and won a set for my Octi in black. Looking forward to it arriving so I can have a go at fitting them myself.
Can you tell me, what setting/nozzle temp have you used for the heat gun, and are some of the pieces vinyl or is it all leather?
I guess now is the time to go looking for seat heating pads.
Nice one. Be warned, it is a terribly difficult job which took me basically three full days and a lot of cuts on my hands. It is worth it though if you have the patience.
The seats are all leather (no vinyl). I used a low setting on the heat gun.

What's the best method to stop the front leather seats squeaking in my vRS SE ? I know they don't have springs so assume it's something in the mechanism at the side where you adjust the seat back height. Can I spray something down there like WD40 or would this damage the leather??? The rear seats were squeaking but I traced that to the rear parcel shelf rubbing on the seat back and have taken care of that with some cloth tape between the two.
Are you SURE, they don't have springs? I know that standard Fabia seats have springs in the back.

Could be something as simple as an ignition coil or a spark plug problem. If you're in the AA, call them out, they'llplug it in and diagnose it for you.
