  1. I apologise my phone tends to autocorrect to the wrong words these days I have no idea why? Makes me cone across like I don't know how to spell?! If it wasnt got the permsnt box fab to use the sensor then I'd likely be going thst route saying that I'm sure I did see somewhere selling box casings for the estelle so still could be possible but Ideally for now I'd like to be running a ported head or mpi head, ported inlet & a weber & high lift cam, Not huge gains for the cost but it'd sound nice!
  2. Ve Very true I like the idea woukd definitely be cheap way to have reliable power but I've now got 2 favorit engines to play with! Was talking to a guy that makes looms for putting mpi in estelles so that's maybe a possibility to do with a felicia lump ? Onky drawback is tge gearbox fab to fit a sensor!?
  3. Thanks for the help my freind I did speak with him and he helped me alot I ended up finding a favorit 136 which us by far the easiest route to go and re used my 130 parts to convert it to rwd, then got a spare favorit engine e which I may take the crank out of to fit in a felicua engine to give me the injection option with sone gearbox fab! Failing thus if I get bored then be a twin cam of some sort, I do have a sweet toyota engibe thst I think would go very well in the estelle! Appreciate all the help 👌👍
  4. Hi bit of a odd one this! I've bought a favorit 136B engine along with the other parts needed to do a 136 swap into my estelle 130 I was told the engine was the singke point injection version which I havd e questions about maybe done one will know? I have an inlet, exhaust manifold, and was given an mpi flywheel I've read that the spi & mpi have different flywheel, mpi has an extra notch in the wheel itself and a couple more teeth on the ring gear I presume so that the ecu can work with it properly via sensors? Since I'm going to be running the engine via a carb the ecu sensor, extra notches, extra teeth etc won't matter to me because I'll ve swapping my own 130 ring gear over onto the mpi flywheel but..... I'd like to know if there's any top dead centre differences between the two flywheels? Does anyone know if I will have any issues with setting the engine up please or if anyone's done this I'd ve very grateful! Its not a very common thing these days as the estelles and rapids are old and only things I can read are from long time ago, I know it would be super easy to just use correct spi or carb flywheel but nothings easy to get now, I looked for ages just to find the engine and was only lucky enough to get it because a guy who rallies favorits happened to be kind enough to help me out knowing what I planned to use it for /in Any help is massively appreciated
  5. Thanks my friend I'll give him a try maybe? 👍
  6. Thanks for this I've currently been offered a favorit engine which is an spi, do you still think that's be ok? Been told it's definitely a 136 engine although I'd have thought it would be a 135? Do you know if all favorites have the removable washer over the cut out in crank end to easily do the swap and get it working on the stock estelle box please? Everything else seems straightforward Any info grw y appreciated I've run out of things to read!
  7. Hi I have a skoda estelle 130lse with the 5 port engine, 5 spd box, recently seen a good low mile felica 1.3mpi lump, need help from those in the know Is it a straight forward swap Can I use tge felicia engine with the ecu? Or can I run it on my 130 inlet carb & exhaust manifold? Or could it be run otherwise, custom inlet bike carbs, mega jolt etc Any help I'd be very grateful as I'd rather stick with the skoda lumps If not was thinking of the rover k series swap?. If I could find I 136 rwd I'd be happy with that but can't find one or favorit engine Any suggestions or help massively appreciated I font know enough to know I'm buying the correct engine with the felica? I read early ones will go in but I whink that's using 136 inlet, carb & , ex mani? Please help me out guys
  8. I know this is very old but I really need help 🙏So would I be able to fit the 1.3 mpi from felicia be fine to replace my 130 5 port with? Can I re use the inlet, carb & exhaust mani? Does the engine bolt straight in the stock mounts? Ambrose89 says the felly block will mate up to the stock box fly What else would I need please Any help be extremely appreciated!
  9. Hi Ambrose89 I can't message you directly but I could really do with some help, I've got a estelle 130 lse that I'd like to put a low mile felicia 1.3 mpi in, I saw you asking very similar in another post way back, can I be done easily? Please could you tell me what needs doing I'd really appreciate it, Does the crank need machining or is it like the old favorit engine where it's a straight swap? Does the engine just bolt in to stock mounts? What carb did or are you still running it on please? Or can I use my 130 inlet, carb and ex mani? Or did you get the ecu from felicia to keep the injection? Does the felly engine mate up with the estelle fly, box n starter without issue? I'd seriously appreciate any help! Many thanks
  10. That's a great idea I will give them a try now, if I can get those drawings then I'll soon be able to tell if this will work or not Thankyou sep
  11. Thanks for the reply sep, is hard for me to do that without buying it, seen lots of pictures, I know the 240mm dimensions correct but the thickness of it is another matter? Looks to be a good thickness on it even though its been used where new sre are listed on the Internet nothing is said about the plate thickness of either the versions of sre ? I could save alot of money if it does fit, New just the sre organic clutch plate & pressure plate is at least £677 + delivery I could buy the same for just £150 delivered Would still need to buy correct bolts & clutch release bearing Do you think it's worth risking it?
  12. Hi I've recently been offered a sachs sre smf clutch plate & pressure plate cheap that hasn't seen much use My question is as above would it fit on standard sachs dmf? Has anyone ever done this? (& yes I know it's not ment to be used with dmf but I can't find a sachs smf for sale anywhere on its own, only part of a kit) ** I ask because I've read of people using rigid plates on smf? so why can't it work the other way round? Of course I understand the smf clutch plate will be thicker than the dmf one but if it fits then surely it would work? Would like to hear of any thoughts or experience of anyone ever doing this who is in the same position as I'm in Or any suggestion as to what smf could ve used that will work If possible I'd rather keep dmf as I've read some bad things about smf, I'd rather avoid doing it unless I really have to
  13. Well just to let you guys know, Purley down to cost of £700 total and overall reliability long term I've got for the turbo dynamics mdx 446 built from my own garrett pd130. I'll be happy with a reliable 190-200 any more is a bous Thanks for all your useful Input, I'll let you know once it's been fitted and mapped accordingly what it makes, but really the reliability is the most important for me Hopefully the hybrid won't be too much worse mpg wise but I'm sure I'll find out soon Cheers
  14. Tbh I'm really thinking you could be right fabooka vrs, for what I want maybe this is the best way to go for now, then in the future get it made into a hybrid if I'm not happy with it
  15. Thanks duck but I'm pushing it just affording a hybrid tbh, & I got loads more to pay for on the carcIf I had the money I'd definatley be going small gtb too
  16. Thanks for the advice I'm going to go for the turbo dynamics mdx 446 stage 2 pd130 , since I got a god deal on the garrett I sent to them and they are upping prices soon, surely a well build turbo from td will be stronger than a stock garrett pd150? I can get the mdx446 for alot less than a new pd150 too so even tho it's not as powerful as the mdx376 I'm sure it must be very close to the 200 mark I'm looking for with very little lag? What do you think I'd get out out the td stage 2 fabooka vrs?
  17. Thanks that puts my mind at rest, I'd rather not spend a fortune on the turbo so right now I'm thinking of going with xmans 1756 hybrid as its straight Bolt on where as I'm sure the gtb is better but costs more requires few bits doing to make it work nothing major but it all adds up. End of the day they both do pretty much the same job right? So why not save some cash Thanks for the advice can't wait to get it done, 👍
  18. Thanks that's the kind of awnser I need no I don't know a huge amount about td tuning but I know a bit I can see what you are saying about the turbo sizing, im aware the kkk is same as garrett pd130 ( gt1749) in size only one that's significantly bigger is the gtb2260vk and that's to big for me, it would be very laggy n boost come in high like petrol upto redline in my mind really is not good thing for a diesel lump. I completely agree from what I've read 2-220 is sweet but if anything I'd rather run the lower side Main thing fof me is safe reliable power I need car daily for work not trying to push it to its limits
  19. Anyone else running a fabia on around 200 hp? I'm keen to know what setups your using?
  20. I agree with you I do enjoy petrol more than diesel but these fabias aren't bad at all when you wanna go reasonably equick and not blow a load of cash on fuel other wise I'd be back in a petrol turbo s3 stage 4 again lol needs are must with fuel costs the way they are and now having to do huge miles
  21. I'm definatley not! around 200hp is all I'm after really Want best reliability and road drivability that's all It's only just touching 100k miles but got the long ratio box coming and uprated clutch to go in as well as some 312 brakes Are you running the gtb1756? All I was really looking for was best turbo advice to fit for the kind of power I'm after? Not looking to spend a fortune just do best I can with it as its a daily
  22. Thanks for your opinion you talking about gtb1756vk or hybrid? Yeah know what your sayin I have thought about it for me right now toying with either a pd160 off ibiza cupra r or a gtb1756 vk Xmanturbos does one for good price and the 1756 is much more useable for a daily car With the 1756 & fmic what do you think I'll see powerwise upto 230? Cheers
  23. Does anyone know if the golf mk4 garrett would be a cheap safe replacement I can stage one map on? What will that turbo safely take 170? Any advice on this or best turbo upgraged be great as did get offered a gtb 2260 but that's overkill for what I need & be bit laggy compared to pd130-160s Plus I read alot ppl had big probs with that 2260 I need reliable power
