Thanks for your advice, shame the garage or the manual didnt say that! If thats the case any comment/ advice regarding the loss of over the air live traffic information. according to my satnav there was no traffic congestion for the last few weeks in the uk. It is so frustrating!

Hi, I am new to this site, so bear with me. I have a similar problem but since the garage cancelled the change oil warning message as it doesnt need changing until the second year( car is one yr old), I have lost the live traffic information! Having discussed with the garage who told me to go through the long process of downloading the software, extracting it to a usb stck as there is no sd slot in the car (which they were not aware of), plugging in to the usb socket and allowing it to download whilst driving. I have started the process but only driven a short journey and guess it will take ages. Do you think this will reinstate the traffic live data? Any pointers help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
