  1. Yeh I disconnected the clip in the hope I'd find the means to remove the thing. Photos were just for demonstration purposes on this post to show where the area is I need to access, I.e underneath the sensor. I've got some crows feet arriving today, so will report back on progress! Thanks again
  2. Thanks both for your comments. It's a 1.9tdi estate (2008) The garage had it on their diagnostics machine and did me a print out aswell which confirmed the sensor was the fault. Just looking into these Crows Feet spanners. Literally a tool for everything 🤣 I bet they changed the design of them at some point because you need sparrows feet for hands to get anywhere near it
  3. Hi there, I've searched high and low for answer to this, but no luck so here goes... Had my aircon regased and they said there was a fault with the high pressure sensor located just below the left headlight whilst looking at the engine bay. I was hoping to do this job myself instead of the garage charging me £100 for the privilege. I've located the sensor but can't get to it really, I've got the shortest 17mm spanner I can find and got it onto the location to unscrew it but at best I Coul only move the spanner a couple of mm at a time. Am I missing something? Any tips on how to get it out? I feel like some of the sensors have are able to be undone from above with a socket. But mine you have to be underneath where the sensor is located. Even if I had the under tray off I'm not sure it would help much, there just seems to be pipes where you'd get in to disconnect it? Help! 😭
  4. Hi I was wondering whether anyone knows of a garage or handy with the tools in the York area that can assist in replacing a window regulator. She's an old girl, solid car but no longer need two vehicles so looking for a bit of help before selling. Broken window regulator and I'm not paying £350 for an oem window regulator when you can get them for £50-£100 off the Internet. Just need the window working for sale really! Could just do with someone locally that's done this job themselves, or knows of a garage that will fit parts not ordered through the dealers. I hope someone can assist! Thanks
