2014 1.4TSI - Emissions failing with no check engine light
Hey everyone, Has anyone had issues with emissions failing and no check engine light present on EA211? The car drives fine, both lambda sensors readings appear okay, fuel consumption is typical, there are no engine fault codes present, yet the car is failing emissions CO and lambda test quite badly. I don't drive just short trips and occassionally rev it up on longer trips. The car had eventually passed after adding some fuel additive, but I retested it again after recent service and it appears to still exhibit the problem. The car has been re-tested at another MOT garage so the issue is definitely on the car side. I'm at the point of taking it to the main dealership so they can figure it out or get a software update. I have an OBD tool with the ability to look at some live data if required.

A/C problem - left side cooling, right side heating
Digging up old threads, but I've just had this exact issue (relatively cold air from driver vents, hot/warm air from passengers) and had it fixed so may save somebody the time if they have the same symptoms. All I needed to do was to get refrigerant refilled. There were no error codes associated with the AC, however when looking at system parameters using OBD, I could tell it wasn't efficient enough - evaporator temp was at 12C and the refrigerant pressure was at 9 bar. After recharging it, both sides started blowing cold air and the evap temp dropped to single digits.

Rattle from under the dash
Hey everyone Patient: octavia mk3 Symptoms: When driving over rough surfaces I could hear rattling noises coming from under the front dash. I've been able to 'replicate' the sound by hitting the steering wheel when stationary. I kept hitting the wheel while planting my other hand at different spots under the steering wheel column and I made it stop. Turns out my leg compartment air vent seems to be loose which causes it to hit the clutch pedal crash strut (see attached videos and pictures). Could anyone check whether it's similar on their car? If not, does anybody know how to fix it? The obvious DIY solution is to stick some rubber/cardboard in between the vibrating parts, but I reckon there must be some bolt which can get tightened to get rid of the problem permanently.
