  1. So the reason of the noise is a loosen bolt on the pinion of the exhaust camshaft. Actually almost all 5 bolts were loose, but one in particular was about to fall and was hiting the camshaft cover, causing the noise. The mechanic was very surprised to see this on a 4 year's old car! good news is that reparation was easy, just retighten the bolts.
  2. The issue appeared for first time this morning. Nobody touched the car since february.
  3. Symptoms: -very loud knocking at idle but also present at all rpms (frequency of noise correlated to RPM). -Motor does not seem to lose power -No warning on the dashboard Sound appeared suddenly when I was riding very smooth this morning. I ofent ride on mountain roads, pushing the revs, but I always respect the motor (heating/cooling times) Motor is converted to Ethanol since 02/2022 (ECU flash), I don't know if this could have an impact on the issue.
  4. Yes for sure: It is a Seat Ibiza 1.0 TSI 115cv DSG 7 from 02/2018. 64'000kms, last service 02/2022. I don't know for the GPF. Since the sound is exactly the same in the video above I think there are great chances the issue is the same.
  5. Hello, I have the exactly the same sound since this morning on my seat Ibiza 1.0 TSI, i found no other place on the web relating this problem. What is it ? thank you
