I'm looking at a manual and 99% of the engines seemed to be paired up with the 5speed. Is it worth adding a bit of extra money to get the 6speed? I'm mostly driving alone or with one passager. I'm guessing i will do about 1000miles/month average and 60-70% will be highway.

I'm looking at getting a Fabia around 2017-2018 and looking at both the 1.2 TSI and also the 1.0. I've found some threads from when the 1.0 was introduced, but not much information after that. Which one is to prefer and why? What Engine is best if doing some highway miles in higher speeds, let's say 110-130kmh?
