Thanks - I've got some brand new batteries arriving tomorrow as I couldn't remember how old the replacement battery was. I'll change the batteries again and have a go as directed.

Car no longer locking/unlocking via key fob.... Car opened as normal this morning. Next time went to open the car it was unlocked and the remote locking didn't lock/unlock. Tried the spare key, same result. The button on the dash still locks/unlocks so the fuse is fine (checked it just in case too). Possible that the spare key (unused) has a flat battery and that the main key is now flat too, seems unlikely but possible, so I changed the battery. I did drop the key yesterday but it was fine afterwards and doesn't explain the spare key not working. My local garage can't take a look until next week... Any other suggestions for a novice to try? Thanks

Had the car from new, June 2017. My local mechanic said he'll 'plug the car in' tomorrow to see there's any error logs. Hopefully one will be spotted and easy to remedy. Thank you

Thanks - sorry some details missing: Ours is manual AC not auto climate control. The AC is cooling even when the AV button is showing as off. Pressing on/off makes no difference, turning the fan to off stops the airflow but I have no idea if the AC stops or not. I'll pop it in to my local independent garage for a quick look. If they don't know then I'll find a VW independent specialist. Many thanks.

Noticed that the AC is cooling intermittently when it is not actually turned on. It's also been making some odd noises recently, coolant type noises rather than mechanical. This is intermittent too. Is this one for Skoda garage or will a local garage be able to sort it?

We have a 2017 (June) 1.0 TSI (110 version), six speed and love it. Had the car from new and done about 45k miles. Most of our driving is rural/town and we get ~55mpg with ease. Motorway is similar unless.
