  2. Thanks Pete, just confirmed it's a red p
  3. Hey, I've been mulling about this all night, is there a way to test the wiring harness from the camshaft sensor , think this is the easier of the issues to look at first if it helps reg is AV06 SXW
  4. Oh dear,so maybe it's the timing, is there a way to easily check this ?
  5. Pretty sure it's the single cam thinking about it
  6. Sorry,it is the camshaft top of engine,it is a 1.2htp,I've asked him what colour the letters are so will add that ASAP. Thanks so much
  7. Hi not sure if I'm honest, the code is 16725 Could it be possibly wiring, only done an oil change on it last week, its been fine then started misfiring this morning
  8. Hi, my son experienced a miss fire today the car would only go under 3k revs, the same thing happened a while back and the garage changed a spark plug which fixed the problem so assuming that I told him to get 3 plugs, whilst changing the plugs pulling the ignition plugs off resulted in them literally falling apart so off the the car shop we purchased 3 electronic ignition modules, we started the car up and new that this wasn't the problem, I plugged in delphi scanner and seen the crankshaft sensor code, we purchased one and fitted but still the same, it was a rush but all parts were needed anyway, I'm thinking now it could be the harness to the crankshaft sensor, would anyone know how I can test this ? Sorry about the long winded post. Skoda fabia mk1 2006 1.2
  9. Thanks pal really appreciate this
  10. Can any one confirm this,i realise its sunday but i'm eager to get this crossed of my list of things to do lol
  11. So if I'm right i can change pin number 4 and 7 round on the oem connector and all should be ok ?? at the moment the head unit is working but it doesn't retain its memory so believe the main supply from the battery isnt connected to the correct pin, just checking your superior knowledge before i give it a go later
  12. thanks nige8021, the oem conection pushes straight into my double din,, is it easy to remove the cable pins and re configure?
  13. thanks Nige so the wire you mention should go to 1 of the pins on the back of my double din stereo ive attached a draing, does this make sense to you ?
  14. Hi chaps ive successfully installed the stereo and active subwoofer, however i now have an issue that ive noticed that the stereo loses its memory, this explains the wire that was very badly fitted to the wrong size of the fuse box when we purchased the car this was removed straight away as it was dangerous cant understand how the 2 factory fitted radio plugs haven't got a permeant feed to the radio so really need to get my head round this
