Hi, I’m doing a similar project myself. I’ve bought a 5E0 919 606 D 9.2 screen 565 035 021 D glovebox unit to replace my 5E0035874A I’m wondering if I need to purchase an amp for my system to work.

Thanks for the reply PetrolDave! i’m coming from MIB1 yea so I believe I’ll need the canton AMP. Can this part be taken from a different Skoda or will it need to be the Octavia variant? Suberb and Kodiaq parts are generally cheaper. I’ve heard the MIB 2/2.5 can drive the speakers anyway. Perhaps it can be coded to have this functionality like in SEAT cars?

Hi apologies for bumping an old thread, so far I’ve obtained this screen and MIB2.5 My car is a DAB model and this unit is fully unlocked. From what I know, I’ll only need a new USB port in order for this to function?

I.E can I take a unit from for a Karoq or Superb and put it in my Octavia? Again thank you a lot! I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to VAG vehicles and parts

Hello everyone, I just recently bought a 2015 Octavia and want to bring it up to current standards with a MIB 2.5 and VC install. I’m struggling to identify the original part numbers for the Octavia, I know Suberb and another car’s parts allegedly work but this is why I’m looking to the forum for help I have a friend who works at VW, they’re seeing if they can get the correct parts for me, or if there’s anyone here who may be able to help thanks a lot!

Absolutely yes, it had all sorts of issues Really nice car and had done 118k but just small things kept going on it, making it more difficult to drive. climate control wiring has burned out Not ideal with the last couple week’s weather Had a boost solenoid issue It even got vandal damaged whilst I was looking for a new car 😪 poor pug.
